Page 1 of PLZ HELP! Which is better?

Hey, i`m a first time buyer, and i wanted to know which player you guys think is better, (overall). The Two are:

Toshiba SD220
or
Kiiro X5 Multi-region

Any advice would be much appreciated from any DVD Gurus out there!

No competition : Tosh wins hands down : just make sure you get a multi-region version (eg £135 from Richer Sounds).

The Kiiro is a re-badged CosmicTec player (who are just starting to make a name for themselves in the UK - see the new Reoc A6, Wharfedale M3, Haus decks, etc).

You may also want to consider the Pioneer DV350 - give http://www.homecinemaheaven.co.uk a whirl for that.

The two top players are these models at present :-)

The Toshiba every time. Richer sounds will also do a good deal on the Pioneer (350) which is a first rate player, though as ever availability is a problem.

The Chinese kit is a real bargain but it doesn`t measure up to the quality of the mainstream brands.
