Page 1 of How Many DVD Players Have You All Had Or Got?

Just as the heading asks. Have you ever upgraded more than once?

I started off with a Samsung 709, got a PS2, then a PC, so I guess I`ve got 3 players. I would willingly upgrade, as long as it was multi-region and was compatible with my current sound system

Started with a Sony 725 (now in the bedroom), followed by a DVD-ROM drive (x2) and now I have a lovely Pioneer 656A, which was worth the investment.

I have a DVD-Rom drive (a Hitachi replacing a broken Pioneer) and an Arcam DV88 player (2 years old). I`ll upgrade the Arcam with DVD-audio and progressive scan in the new year and keep this for a few more years before hopefully getting another Arcam player. :-)

Only really use Pioneer though

I have four, a Hitachi HTK150 home cinema kit in the lounge, one each in the kids bedrooms (LG3200, Dansai 852) and a Samsung DVD Rom drive in the PC.

I`ve got 2 standalone players - a Samsung 709 (bought in May `99) and an Alba 114 (bought October this year). I don`t plan on adding to the collection any time soon ;-)

Three, although one is currently busted (£27 off eBay) as I`m awaiting a replacement part (a new DVD loader). All are Sampo players, naturally :

Encore DV450 (owned since April 2000)
Sampo DVE612 (owned since this summer - US import)
Wharfedale M5 (received on Monday - the busted one).

I have had four if you include my Memorex DVD-Rom drive in my computer. Just about knackered with all the DVD ripping I do!

My first was a Mico A980 which I still have. I had a Dansai 852 but fancied a change so sold it and bought a Kiiro 838 which I think has the same internals as the Dansai but includes a Digital Decoder ( not needed).
Works Ok but VCD not as good as Dansai, which I miss ( Boo! Hoo!)
