Page 1 of I need information on Sony HTK-215 home cinema kit

I have seen this on the internet and am considering buying it off a website. I was wondering if anybody else has bought this and can give me some more information on it.

I were you I`d buy a separate AMP, as the the SONY speakers have got bad reviews in all the Mags I`ve read. You probably will still need to buy a DVD, as all thats included is the AMP, and speakers. It depends on what your budget is?

I would try to pick up a cheap Sony 930 Amp, as these have now been replaced by the 940, a reasonable DVD player Sony 325?, and a set of speakers possibly mission?

ive got a jvc xv523 dvd player already
£350 is my budget. I`ll have more if i wait longer but i dont really want to spend too much.
How much is the sony 930 amp gonna cost?
and how much for a reasonable set of mission speakers?

Hi res, If you mean the HTK-315 i had this kit and it went back, terrible amount of hiss from the speakers on every thing except digital input, even with no signal going in and volume low, it did my head in. I dont know if mine was faulty or if they are all like that, but if thats the case i wouldn`t recommend it. For a few quid more i opted for a pioneer VSX709 receiver and Yamaha NSP210 speakers, far better.
