Not really! About the same from what i know (which isnt a lot), but Scart is used more widely!

Can be. Depends what you mean by scart.

If you mean standard composite scart then YES, s-video is better.

However, if you mean RGB in your scart, then S-video is slightly inferior to scart, although some people prefer the colours that s-video produce.

Bottom line is, depends on the video format used.
