My friend has the DTT2500 system & apart from the fact it doesn`t have a remote control it sounds superb. I was so impressed I went out & bought the DTT3500 which is very similar apart from the fact it has a remote/larger, more powerful subwoofer & a better looking decoder unit.
The bass is very, very loud but the whole thing is very well put together & I can`t believe the sound that is dispersed from the small satelites.

Thanks Lees. I have bought a set from pc world for £149.Absolute bargain.Took a while to get the sub level right as it does produce a lot of bass.Very dramatic and entertaining sound with great effect steering.Six sats, decoder amp and sub plus stands and all interconnects for £149 - amazing.Being very picky it could do with a little more power as the midrange goes a little hard when pushed and a touch more clarity but for the price absolutely no complaints.Oh and it looks good and is very discrete.

I am still waiting for mine, but what do you mean regarding more power & more clarity? Also, have you used it connected it direct to your TV or Video?
The reason I ask is I am going to be using it to replace my prologic decoder built into my TV & that is the only source I haven`t yet tried!

I have the pioneer 530 and DTT 2500 setup and I must say that the sound is absolutly fabulous! of course it can`t be compared with Something that costs 10x more but her, DD5.1 sounds that come out of the satellites are more than enough for my room. Got my DTT2500 for 124pounds from creative`s auction site.

Apparently, some have bought them for 70pounds from buy.com with coupons but they don`t sell them anymore... Damn!

So the dtt2500 would be a good set for a room sized 3m*3.5m? (my bedroom)

Also, what inputs does it have at the back?

more than enough! I live in a student flat and its small!!!

Inputs, it has a coaxial digital input, no optical. Digital din and other connections for the soundblaster live! cards.

So, good value when you consider that you can use it for a dvd player And computer!

Hope this helps!

It is particularly suited for small/medium sized rooms, so would obviously suit a bedroom. Not only that but all the components are small but well built. Regarding inputs, I `m not sure but I believe it has coaxial & digital connections & also a line in for connecting to a PC & TV/Video/Set top box. I am still waiting for my DTT3500 to arrive. I bought it for £110 from a friend who`s brother works @ Creative Labs.
