Opinions on these things from Argos?
I`m looking to buy a set of video senders and a 3(or more) to 1 scart thing.
Are any of these ones any good?
Philips Video Sender
DigiSender X2
Thomson Wireless Video Sender
3 SCART to 1 SCART
SCART Video Unit
5 in 1 SCART Block
Acoustic Research Electronic SCART Block
So, any of these good? I`m planning on going to Argos tomorrow morning, so any replies before then would be great. I might also pick up some of those "Craig David" headphones from Lidl. :D
Thanks.

for scart control this is a must..
I have had one for about a year. best thing i ever got
it`s fully automatic and has a remote too for manual. so you just plug it in and forget about it. I have my amp, sky, xbox, game cube and dvd player rigged up permanently. fully RGB too!
in regards to the video senders, havn`t had much experience with them .. sorry

It`s a bit expensive, I`m just looking for something cheap for the Scarts.

Will have you got a Woolworths big W near you , I seen a digi sender in the Newport store today and I am pretty sure it was only £49.99 , I have got one of the 3 to 1 scart adapters on the daughters tv and it is ok for connecting dvd , video and ps2 to the 1 scart input on her tv , select av on tv remote and press button a , b or c to view whichever you have connected to a , b or c scart .

http://www.beyondhifi.net have a great 3 to 1 scart adapter which transmits RGB.
I think it is about the price of the Argos one.
Those scart control boxes look nice! But they are pretty pricey for what they do.
Most fools think they are only ignorant

I have the Digisender x2 from Argos.
No problems with it. Clear picture, easy to setup. Can turn the tv or sky channel with the magic eye.
It`s not the cheapest but it does the job and I`am happy with it.
RE: Opinions on these things from Argos?
I bought the Philips ones (my local Woolies didn`t have any), I set them up and they worked, but I`m going to take them back as the picture was quite bad and it also ruined the picture quality on the TV that was transmitting the picture. I`ve decided I can put up with not having Sky in my room as it`s too expensive and the quality isn`t good enough. :(

RE: Opinions on these things from Argos?
;) i recently got one of these video senders from aldi for 30.00
at first i wasnt happy with the quality and was about to return it,but i persevered with the thing and everything is ok now.the problem i found was that if your second tv,the one you are transmitting to,is an old one, like mine which was an ancient phillips without scart, i just couldnt tune in properly,so i resorted to transmitting to another tv i had an equally old sony portable.this sony is about 20 yrs old and has scart, but i seem to get better picture without using the scart adapter.works a treat! maybe the more modern the tv sets are the less problems. there again, technology can be bloody frustrating at times!

Yeah, I`d rate the Aldi one too if you can find a store with any still in stock (it was about 4 weeks ago). I have mine with the transmitter connected to the Cable Box, and the receiver connected to the PC, so we can watch Cable TV on the PC (PCs in the bedroom) and record to the hard drive like a video. Decent picture quality too.

RE: Opinions on these things from Argos?
Interesting...my dad has a "magic eye" system (not sure which one) to transmit Sky to the bedroom. I bought him a DVD player for xmas and was shocked to discover how bad his picture was when I set this up (and that he wan`t using scart for Skybox to TV connection). I hadn`t thought of the transmitter degrading the picture. I`ll have to check this out next time.
Are the auto-switching Scart boxes any good? It`s bit of a pain rummaging round the back of the telly to switch connections!
