Hi, thinking of a purchasing a liteon 5005 but have noticed from some comments that it could be lacking in some features, now that the 5006 is listed on the lieton web site is there any experts out there who can tell me if the 5006 is a better bet than the 5005, or are the features still missing?? thanks Bryfly

I think that it is RGB in, which apparently is the best input signal for recording from Sky/Freeview.

Don`t think the 5005 has RGB in either...It writes to either + or - discs, it also writes to CD`s and it will write in VCD ofrmat too (Still don`t know whether this means it will only write to VCD on CD-r or whether it will record VCD`s on DVD`s (Which ,although the quality is pretty poor, would be ideal for times when longer recording time is more important that quality-such as timed recording whilst on holiday for example).

A real major no-no on the 5005 is the mono only video tuner...Lite-On must be the only company not unsing a nicam stereo tuner for off air recordings.
