There it`s the Yelo800 is the new budget King!
HITACHI 505 ROCKS!
Considering the Scan and Daewoo are identical internally, how they can give one 18% more than the other is kind of unusual. I would take all the above with a HUGE pinch of salt for this reason alone. ;-)
I also know that the Lecson 900 is the same as the new Wharfedale 750s but with a Dolby Digital decoder, yet the Wharfe is noticeably missing from this list.
Be interesting to hear Total DVD`s explanations for the different ratings.
RE: Total DVD Budget Shoot out!
Yes some of the reviews do seem a bit odd, BUT THE CREAM ALWAY`S RISES TO THE TOP!:P
RE: Total DVD Budget Shoot out!
I noticed that in the Matsui review they said it did not have RGB output and that it did not play VCD`s.
It does output RGB and there is hack that allows it to play VCD`s (for some reason VCD playback is disabled for the uk market).
I e-mail the magazine with this info.
They replied and said thanks for the VCD hack and that they made a mistake in quoting that it does not have RGB output and were sorry.
I was very impressed with the speed they replied to my e-mail and that the e-mail was very friendly.
Once I e-mailed What Hifi and got no response.
Does the Yelo 800 output PAL50?
The SCAN and daewoo are identical models.Sounds like they had
the sc-2000 with the rgb problem. Now i wouild like to see a lIST
of the best SELLING players. Now that wouild be interesting.

RE: Total DVD Budget Shoot out!
I dont think that the RGB FIxed would rocket it up the Table?
It would be more interesting to see a list of the which player was returned the most.:P
Naughty Ironduke, te he:)
NOT "Oh Dear" but "Oh Goodie"!!! - Azuda 890 May still be a goodun.
Hi IronDuke,
Phew... You had me worried!
I ordered the Mico A-980 clone (Azudu 890) not that 2?? model in the review.
The Azuda range appear so different that I`m sure they just stamp their badges on other companies products. You know - like an Hitachi bagde on that Matsui reject (505? - LOL).
Mico Rocks (So they keep telling me).
BTW Could you fix that sneezing fit at the end of every one of your posts!
Carrot - The Future Is Orange (Just like that Mico)
Ha haahahahhahaha Funboy:P
I believe the Hitachi 505 & The Samsung 811 are clones, funny thing is The Yelo 800`s remote is exactly the same as the Hitachi 505.
great mind`s think alike:)
I am sorry to report the Azuda 268 has the same spec as the Azuda890!
If The Hitachi 505 is a rebadged Matsui!
Then The Azuda range must be a rebadged bucket of SH*T:P
Get ready to Cack your pant`s when you see those Azuda Artifacts baby!
"Mico Rocks(So they keep telling me)"
This coment say`s it all! Talk about P*ssing into the wind:)
HITACHI 505 ROCKS! BIGTIME!
YELO 800 = BUDGET KING.
MICO & CLONES = PANTS!
tee hee dont ban either of us, where just having some friendly banter:P
Most of the sc-2000s.daewoos,micos,yelos etc etc come from
the same sweatshops in china/korea/taiwan.This explains all the
similarities.
