Which budget players definitely convert NTSC to PAL?
I am not sure if my TV will do NTSC (and I have no way of testing), so which budget players will definitely convert NTSC to PAL50/PAL60?
I quite like the look of the new Wharfedale, as well as the Mico/Azuda and Yelo machines, however I have only read rumours as to whether they will do the above.
TIA for any info.

2 observations - BUT: can anyone confirm who actually owns the hardware?:
1) the LG3200 from Techtronix is supposed to do PAL50 (they supplied it modified to be Macro Free and Region Free) -
2) Here`s a reply I received from InterDVD re the Yelo 800 and PAL50.
Yelo have assured us that their 800 DVD/MP3 Player is PAL 50. If you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact me directly at the address below. Or alternatively, you could contact the Yelo Customer Service Centre on: 0208 366 0000.

Hmmm, very interesting, the Mico (Azuda) is sounding very tempting.
Please can you give an honest and unbiased report on your machine with regards to the following issues:
1. Built quality - especially that disc tray :-)
2. Disc loading time
3. Noise/vibration during playback
4. Time taken for layer change
Or do I spend an extra £60 and get the Yelo? I do prefer the aesthetics of the Mico though.
RE: Which budget players definitely convert NTSC to PAL?
1. I think the build quality is very good. The tray is a bit flimsy but no worse than most CD rom drives. It has not caused any problems for me.
2. Loading times I timed in seconds:
DVD - 10, Audio CD - 15, Audio CD-R - 22, Mp3 CD-RW - 27
3. There is some noise but nothing you can hear when watching a DVD and no vibration I have noticed.
4. I have not noticed the layer change.

RE: Which budget players definitely convert NTSC to PAL?
Thanks for taking the time to post the info, very much appreciated.
However, just as I was about to order the Azuda Mico clone, news breaks that it is out of stock (was it ever in stock?).
I guess I will be going for the Yelo machine after all.
RE: Which budget players definitely convert NTSC to PAL?
unbeatable say they will have stock in early October, can`t you wait?

The Yelo is the Budget King now Briley:P
So why wait?
