DVD players that support SVCD, VCD, MP3, CDR, CDRW, also multi region and macrovision free.
I am interested as most (Even expensive players) do not do it all, SOme will play MP3, but no VCD, SVCD on CDR, also some do do SVCD and VCD on CDR and do not play MP3. Prior to hearing about the Alba DVD104, which does not advertise any of these features but nonetheless does them all, the only player I knew of was the Wharfedale M5 which does indeed do everything (I have one of each).
The Wharfedale M5 costs £180 from Tesco
The Alba 104 costs £100 from Argos (As a replacement to the advertised 113 player).
I know people who have spent up to £240 on DVD players which do NOT do them all.

Just a slight correction to the M5 - it now costs £150 and you can`t disable Macro without a chip or MacMaster. Otherwise, a canny player that does the lot :-)

I can tape DVD`s from my M5, however it may be because the video is very old, anyway where can U buy one for £150?

Any branch of Tesco Extra.
Out of curiosity, which VCR do you have - is it an old Ferguson or JVC perchance ?

Hi Snake
I have the Eclipse 695 Multi Region out of the box, it does all that you want it to do and a little more.
The macro disable is done via remote hack and has to be done each time you power it off.
cost was £179.99 from Richer Sounds

Also, which DVDs have you copied with it - not all DVDs are flagged for Macrovision.
