Recently I`ve been getting into a lot of 70s punk, especially The Ramones and The Buzzcocks. I suppose the most controversial album is Never Mind The Boll*cks by The Sex Pistols, although I don`t like it as much as The Buzzcocks` compilation Singles Going Steady.

Well, I liked it at the time, not sure it has stood up to the test of time, or mayeb I`ve grown out of thinking it`s cool to yell "f*ck the police" ;)

Good choice, in the same mold I`d go for (sort of as above) Public Enemy It Takes a Nation of Millions.....
And yes, who could argue with Never Mind the Bollocks.........a benchmark album by any definition.
Not sure if controversial but all 3 Joy Division albums Closer, Still and Unknown Pleasures. Definitely different and superb.

Never Mind The Bollocks is my favourite controversial album and Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy is one of my favourite controversial singles. Also I really like all material by NWA and Public Enemy.
