Page 1 of Dont you just hate it when people copy other songs?

One of my fave songs is Goo goo dolls - iris. Ronan keating (s***bag) has copyed it. I have been on his website to complain but id have to join up to get on there. There would be nothing worse than reciveing a ronan keating newsletter every week telling me hes going to be opening up a new asda or whatever he does nowadays. Is there any other songs anyone whishes just wernt messed around with?

I`m sure there were plenty of people who hated it when Soft Cell covered Tainted Love, but that is one of the iconic songs of the 80`s now...

The original Gloria Jones version is still far and away the best version, though as is usually the case.

But, when you say copy do you mean cover it or literally take the music and change the words like Robbie Williams took It`s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me by Barry White and made it suck?

Oh god, I hadn`t realised Ronan `I make annoying noises in my throat every time I breathe` Keating had done a cover of that, bad enough he ruined that Garth Brooks song. Good job I don`t ever put the radio on :/

Your not serious, right? I mean, discounting Marilyn Mansons inherant lameness, have you heard the original? Its the absolute pinnacle of Motown Perfection, an absolutely stunning song.

Honestly, listen to it, then tell me the *shudder* MM version is better.

Have to disagree with you NTG (again), but MM is in no way lame, he is a very clever song writer, from the down side of fame, to the way society, the media and the government view people who are less fortunate or have been victims of a tragedy.

And with regards to the cover song, Soft Cell and MM they both did a far superior versions of the original.

Wasn`t Marilyn Manson`s version of the song just a cover of the Soft Cell version - if you see what I mean?
