Page 1 of Foo Fighters - Awesome!

I saw the Foos last night at the Newcastle Arena and that gig has got to be the best one I`ve ever seen. Opening with `Let it Die`, performed with four guitars, two drum kits, a keyboard and a cello, then segueing straight into `The Pretender`, they barely stopped for about seven songs. I don`t know if it`ll be the same at every arena, but there was a `catwalk` for Dave Grohl to strut about on, before the middle section of the gig took place on a separate stage that descends from the ceiling into the middle of the arena.

The set was equally impressive, with four movable screens, showing animated graphics and live concert footage. The set list - though I can`t remember all of it - was excellent, with songs from just about each of their albums.

My ears have just about stopped ringing and if you have tickets to one of their dates, I hope you have as good a time as I had!

I went on Saturday night in Manchester.... wow they were as good as you said and more, I thought the extra stage descending from the ceiling was genius, and a nice touch that all the fans at the back then had a good view, and loved that it was a acoustic set that was done on this stage, a sort of "unplugged style" break in the middle-ish of the gig. If anyone is going to any of the future dates you will truly have an excellent night. At the Manchester one the foos got an 11 year old boy up on stage to play Baker Street on lead guitar while they accompanied him, which I thought was a nice gesture. And yes you are right about ears ringing, it was that loud ... :D

My mate went to Manchester on the weekend aswell and said they were awesome.

He wasn`t really a fan until we saw them at V festival (didn`t invite me on Saturday though because he was taking a bird:( )

Saw them Monday night in Sheffield (about bloody time)...and they get better every time I see them.

This is the fourth time I`ve seen them and they`ve got to be one of the best live bands at the moment. Grohl`s `live` voice has improved over the last few years too.

Only one complaint, when will they play `Miracle` live?

Just got home from seeing them in the O2.............WOW!!
Totally amazing and entertaining 2 and a bit hours worth of excellant music. Dave Grohl`s sense of humour never fails to make me laugh and yes his `live` voice has improved over the last few years - though how he can scream night after night like he does is beyond me! One of the best concerts I have seen - cant wait for next time :D
Found out yesterday that they are playing Wembley on June 7th - going to be headlining but another few bands also playing (its a Radio one big weekend thingy) Tickets go on sale this friday 10am. I, for one, will be going for the Foo Fighter experience again!

Looks like some lucky gits got a treat last week....
After Hawkins` solo he was joined on stage by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson from Rush and they did YYZ... Great stuff. Clip here (I selected the `higher` quality clip) and what about Grohl`s reaction here. :)

My mates got tickets and I`m desperate to go but it`s 5days before my exams and can`t afford the 2days it would take out of my time.

So close to just doing it anyway though ;)

Ah go for it!! Take it as a break from revising....................but dont tell anyone I suggested it ;)
Can you not travel down on the morning of the concert then be back by lunchtime sunday? - its gonna be a good one a reliable source told me today - really looking forward to it :D
