removing old program history ???

Sconie (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 22nd March 2004, 18:23

I am trying to find a free program to clear out all history of a program (Talisman desktop) as I want to re install it from scratch, but when I try to re install after removing the program via the XP add / remove program wizard, it still gives me the pop up box of program expired (30 day trial)

Is there a program (free) that will clean up these imbeded settings to allow me to do a fresh install, or does anyone have any tips on what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Sconie.

I don`t know for sure but i think you have to delete some registry files :/
I wouldn`t advise it unless you know what you`re doin.

Microsoft RegClean is something I think I`ve used in the past... y`know that software is only $25 to register, might be easier to just bite the bullet!:)

You can`t use RegClean with XP can you?

If you search for and delete strings such as the publisher`s name and the name of the software, you *might* be able to shift it. However, if you`re that desparate you can always look for a crack for the software. I know it`s hardly the most moral thing to do, but deleting registry keys to be able to reinstall it is just as bad really.
