Mainly to use Sat Nav, which should I go for?

I think both of the PDA you mention are very good, but neither have bluetooth capability, which is particularly useful if you are going down the SatNav route(excuse the pun :) )
For approx £40 more you buy at IPaq hp1940 which includes bluetooth, a much better option in my view.

I agree - I have the HP1940 and found it to be great. If you want to save yourself a bit I think you can get them quite cheap on ebay.
