Page 1 of Best PAYG Network Advice
PCs & Mobiles Forum
I`m fed up with my current phone provider Virgin and was hoping for some feedback on the best PAYG phone deals out there.
I`ve looked at the various websites Easy Mobile, Tesco, Vodaphone and after wading through the glossy sales pitches O2, Orange and T-Mobile have come out on top.
What`s your experience of these networks? Tariffs, Incentive Schemes, Customer Service etc.
Many Thanks,
LK. :)
O2 Online PAYG is great (in my opinion)!
For £10 per month (top up) I get 300 free text messages, plus 250 minutes talk time with a £4.99 Bolt On, still leaving me with £5 credit to use on anything else. And the weekend and evening calls (when I`ve used up my 250 mins) are pretty cheap.
Regards,
Adam Walby
What was the main problem with Virgin? If it was coverage, it`s worth bearing in mind that they use the T-mobile network for their service (as do Easy mobile and Fresh), which would leave you with O2 and Orange. I (personally) think Orange have the edge on coverage but O2 has some good tariff deals as Adam has pointed out which could swing it. Yer pays yer money.....

RE: Best PAYG Network Advice
It really depends what you use it for. As a heavy texter, O2 is best for me, but I`ve also got an Easy sim recently for calls/any texts I use over 300 a month. If it gets very little use, Virgin are ok, as they don`t seem to mind of you rarely use your phone. Do you want lots of calls or texts?
*Edit* don`t forget if you go with O2 to sign up for 10% of your topups back.

RE: Best PAYG Network Advice
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I think I`ll go with O2. Their Talkalotmore Tariff looks the best deal at the moment especially when you signup for the 10% cash back at the same time.
Orange`s Bonus Topup scheme is just too restrictive on how, when and on what you use it on and T-Mobile`s Mates Rates is just a one off offer with no money back. And both schemes are limited to certain tariffs that once you`re signed up to you`re stuck with them.
The Blueroom thing looks interesting too. I`ll give it a wizz and see what they`re giving away.

RE: Best PAYG Network Advice
tbh, i`ve found o2 the best as far as coverage is concerned, but it depends on where you are :D
EDIT= re talkmore. With Pay&Go Talkalotmore enjoy 150 extra free off-peak minutes just by topping-up £15 a month. That`s it. And if you top-up £30 a month, we`ll double your minutes too so you get 300 extra free off-peak minutes.
if your spending anything like £30 a month then get a contract, for £25 you`ll get an excellent phone free
