Page 1 of Trojan Trouble - Help Needed Please..........

Hiya gang...Can anyone help me out with a big problem i have concerning adware and spyware...i have become infected with the following...
( 1 ) ...TrojanDownloader.Win32Zlob.ci
( 2 )...Trojan.Win32.startup.adh
I get repeated security warning windows telling me i am infested with spyware and then get a pop-up telling me to buy some kill system.....
Also my homepage has been hijacked by Malawipe homepage...
I installed Spybot search and destroy...It searched found but could not destroy
Ithen installed BHO Demon..but to be honset don`t really know what it did but nothing changed.........Help me out someone please.............Moods

take a deep breath

shut down your PC and restart it in safe mode

(when its booting press the F8 key select safe mode without networking)

You will get a warning that your in safe mode and your normal screen will crap do not worry this is normal

run your spyware removers

then repeat the above with a different spyware remover

You should be spyware free when you reboot as normal if not you may need a specific removal tool but you should still do it in safe mood.

Booting into Safe Mode and killing the viruses is a good idea but viruses you have are difficult to remove and will probably come back. If you ever get popups again telling you that you have spyware and you must install the software then do NOT click on it - just close the popup.

Backups should always be done and accessing salacious websites, certain warez sites, hacking sites is asking for trouble.

I`ve stopped even clicking the close. Just kill them through Task Manager

When killing the nasty little virus things don`t forget to turn off system restore first, otherwise you may only restore them back afterwoods.
Regrettably turning off S R will also lose all your previous restores - some good - some infected. hence the need to take periodic backups onto a rewritable DVD or similar.

I had exactly the same thing last week, finally managed to get rid of them by constantly scanning.

I used
Trend Micro PC-Cillin
The Trend Micro online scanner
Spybot
and Adaware.

It was strange as one would find something but the others wouldn`t see it, then after a re-boot one of the others would see it. Still, got shot of it in the end, no idea where it came from as have only visited here once or twice over the last 2 weeks as been away working again.

Thanks alot guys...seem to have got rid of most but still having problem with startpage hijacker...getting a new system now so will be stating from scratch ..virus free i hope....thanks again.....moods
