Have heard of it. A more user friendly distro than some of the others for someone new to Linux (like me). Quite popular and popups on cover discs now and again.
Tried it briefly & quite liked it, had difficulties in getting to mount on a USB HDD.
Worked on main PC at home without issues found the hardware & connected to the net without any configuration issues.
Must dig out the disk & try it again in depth.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
Haven`t tried this one specifically, but am a fan of Knoppix.
Downloaded the CD & DVD versions from their website and found them so easy to use...just boot from the disc and that`s it.
Its a great start in Linux for anyone that wants to take a look at it.
is it a full-on operating system? what i mean is do you have to format everything and install as with windows, also is is possible to revert back again?
It is fully loaded, but there is a distro that boots from a cd, so you don`t have to install it!

Butters - if you`re referring to Knoppix, then no install required whatsoever.
It loads itself into the computer`s memory. So when you`re finished you just reboot without the disc in and you`re back to Windows.
There is an option to save settings etc. to a memory stick, which you can select when booting if you want to use it regularly (without completely installing that is).
