CUSTOMS ---THE THREAD THAT NEVER SEEMS TO GO AWAY
Okay people i`ve done a search for the first series of malcom in the middle (R1) as its not coming out on R2. using dvdpricecheck.co.uk and it seems that the cheapest place to get it from is play for £19.99.
However playUSA or whatever the ba**ards are calling themselves now put Customs charges on my order.
So my question to you nice people out there is simple do i get it from play for £19.99 PLUS customs or do i get it from another site such as movietyme for £25???
Can anyone recommend a good decent quick shipping R1 site that i can try that won`t chrage me customs???
ANY REPLY WOULD BE GREATLY APPERICTAED
RE: CUSTOMS ---THE THREAD THAT NEVER SEEMS TO GO AWAY
Why not purchase it from DVDPacific ( www.dvdpacific.com ) where it is listed as `In Stock` and costs US$26.51 ( £16.55.) They normally ship within two or three days of the order being placed and delivery is normally within 5/6 days of the shipping date. There will be no risk of customs charges as the cost of the set is less than £18.00 which is the basic level at which customs duty is first applied.
Edit:- Forgot to add that postage will cost another few pounds :( but still cheaper than Movietyme and unlike Play there will be no customs risk.

Future Entertainment do it for £19.99, and won`t put Customs charges on.
PlayUSA are adding the Customs charge to the order so you won`t have to stagger down to the door in the morning and pay your postie the Customs charge because the packet`s worth more than £18 .

PlayUSA add the Customs charge themselves now?
That is actually quite good because it means you know not to worry whether you`ll be stung or not. Although I rarely buy anything over £18 anyway.

I got a £10 custom charge for a Gamecube game I bought from DVDBoxoffice.com, which really irritated me a great deal.

RE: CUSTOMS ---THE THREAD THAT NEVER SEEMS TO GO AWAY
why dont u try the following site:
http://www.ezydvd.com.au/
i managed to track down a very hard to find dvd called Ghosts of the Civil Dead (ok, it was australian in the first place, but, heck...) and the cost from australia including EVERYTHING worked out at little over £15.
they may be a little light on some dvds etc, but what they do have is very cheap to get hold of.

DVDSoon are doing it for about £18 with free delivery, although they don`t seem to have any in stock at the moment.

I`ve bought a couple of things from them at this sort of price (Season 1 of South Park, Season 2 of 24) and they tend to underdeclare their values for customs purposes so you don`t get charged.
A couple of people on this board have had bad experiences with DVDSoon, but I`ve never had any problems.
