Is DVD Soon really slow or is it just me?
I had Child`s Play on order for CA$7.98 and noticed that it was reduced to CA$6.66 so cancelled the order and tried to order the cheaper one. I tried all last night and again this morning but can`t buy it as when I click on `checkout` or continue, all I get is a 404 error screen. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I`ve had trouble getting onto the site on Sundays before - maybe its when they do some tinkering with the site?

I tried this morning as well with no joy - I`ll try again now.
EDIT - still no good, just got this message when I clicked on checkout:

someone suggested on another site that the slow down may be down to the fact that they are running some kind of halloween promotion - hence the prices ending in $6.66. increased traffic?? or could be some other reason.

DVD Soon still very slow...
It seems that whenever you try to do anything that involves your account on DVD Soon, then you get a "Server Busy - try later" message most of the time. Either they are indeed taking very high numbers of orders (unlikely to last 2+ days - I`ve been trying at all sorts of weird times, especially relative to Canadian times) or they`re under a sustained denial of service attack. The non-account parts of the site interface seem to work, but quite slowly.
It`s annoying cos I`ve been trying to order the new Peter Gabriel DVD compilation from them for a couple of days now without success :( You`d have thought that 48 hours with a huge drop-off of orders (which must be happening) would have sparked alarm bells at DVD Soon and they`d at least have put some sort of notice on their site (or maybe they think that would scare people away, not that many people can actually place an order on DVD Soon at the moment anyway !).

I ordered something last night around 1am and I have it in the `order pending` section but received no confirmation e-mail. :/
It took about 2 minutes for the page to update to say that I had paid, normally it's a couple of seconds. Just remember that if you do get to the order page and enter your card details and click confirm to order, don't press it more than once otherwise your card will be charged for the amount of times you click the button. :o Whenever you try and do anything with your account it is dead slow. I keep on refreshing the page and it seems to do the trick.
Has anyone discovered how you can change your address details? I can change the shipping details but not the billing address, or at least I don`t know how to change this. :/ Had to open a new account because I couldn`t figure it out.
re billing addres - i dont think it matters to be honest.
with regards to the whole 666 thing, i dunno and i dun care bcs they had a tonne of stuff for a lot cheaper than it shoulda been. eg simpsons were all 36.66 including the pending season 5. took AGES to order the stuff, and sometimes the page just went back to homepage with the item still in the cart. however when you went thru to try and order again, it actually showed that your order was already placed. who knows, who cares. i got a good deal and that`s all i need to know ;).

I`ve just ordered it and the whole process was very quick although they had put the price up from CA$6.66 to CA$6.98.
