I have seen some bad reviews of Richer Sounds on this forum but I personally have had a very good customer service with them recently. I noticed that they had a Cyberhome ADL-228 Player for £79.95 in their mail flyer and so I tried to order it. I was told they did not have any in stock and that they were expecting some soon. They contacted me again a few days later and they apologised that they weren`t going to get any more stock of these and offered me the the Cyberhome ADL-528 player at the same price £79.95. They usually sell the Cyberhome ADL-528 at £99.95 so they gave me £20 off the price as a good will gesture and no charge for delivery.

Richer Sounds tried very hard on this occasion to keep me a happy customer and they certainly did that !! - A very pleasant experience indeed despite some of the poor reviews I have seen on this forum. Perhaps if you`re lucky you might also get the Cyberhome ADL-528 for £79.95 too.

The Cyberhome ADL-528 is a budget grade player but very well specced up with features.

I have ordered stuff from Richer before and they have been pretty good on customer service so far.

Meastwoo, how are you finding your Cyber Home 528 ?

I`m new to all this DVD thing (I don`t own any DVD`s), but I have ordered a Cyber Home 528 from WHSmith online for 99.99 (takes up to 3 days delivery). I have heard that it`s quite a good performing budget player, but as a user of this product what do you think ?

I couldn`t tell you yet. I am waiting for delivery of it. I have bought it as an XMAS present for someone. It got a reasonable review on "What Video and TV" for sheer value for money. The only complaint they had was that it was a bit noisy and obviously the quality is not as per a higher price player. You get what you pay for ! I am sure someone on this forum has one and may be able to comment on what it is like.

I tested the Cyberhome at the shop this week, I`m quite impressed with it.MP3 is pretty decent as well, shame it looks a bit ugly, but you can`t complain at £99.95. You can get the 3 year warranty for a tenner! well worth it.
