He`s gone......

That`s right, Sol Campbell has left Notts County by mutual consent

His one appearance in the black and white was a defeat to Morcambe (who i think were bottom of the league without a win)

A Tribute - to remind us all of the good doc whilst his posting capacity is reduced. . . . . . . . . .

There s nothing like staying power is there.......All we need now is for Harry to sign him up for Spurs. :)

I assume he`s told County how much he loves them and would never leave and is now arriving in a taxi at the Forest ground.

I reckon if there had not been the history behind it that `Arry would`ve signed him in the summer.

Best thing is, he`s been going on recently about playing in the World Cup next year. :/

Plus the chairman of Notts County makes reference to it again, so clearly Sol is delusional in that

a) He thinks he stands a chance of getting into Capello`s team.
b) He originally thought he was so good he`d force his way back in whilst playing in league 2.

Saying that, maybe he after he had a bit of a mare on the weekend he was feeling down, so watched the Manchester derby, saw Rio and thought "I`m not only going to be in the squad, I`m going to be first choice" :D

He would need to persuade the footballing powers that he had good reason to terminate his contract or he cannot be considered as a "free agent" as that would make a complete mockery of the transfer window system.

Harry would`ve signed him in the summer if it wouldn`t`ve caused a riot culminating in the razing to the ground of WHL.

The Football League have said he can`t play for another one of their affiliated clubs until the January window
The PL i believe have said provided he can prove there was the good reason for the mutual termination then there is no issue

I heard a Spurs fan say yesterday that he would be prepared to give Campbell a contract

A five year deal too

However, it was a pay as you play deal and the guy said he would stick him in the reserve squad and never pick him for the five years!!!
