Synopsis:
Two rival thieves, Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sunil (Shashi Kapoor), constantly find themselves at war with each other. Then an opportunity to make easy money arises in the form of a child called Bittu (Master Bittu) who is the only son of business tycoon Seth Mathur (Dr Shreeram Lagoo). Seth Mathur makes sure that his son has bodyguards with him as an unknown enemy, wanting to kidnap Bittu, constantly stalks him. The enemy is known as Uncle, played by Kader Khan. Uncle has a personal grudge against Seth and decides to kidnap the child in order to make fast money and to rob the peace and happiness that Seth has from his child.

Uncle hires Sunil to kidnap the child, but the boarding school Bittu attends is heavily guarded by Seth`s men. Sunil goes under the guise of a music supply teacher called Laxman, but when he reaches the school he sees Vijay posing as a P.E. teacher called Ram and once again their rivalry is in play. With many obstructions ahead of them only time will tell which thief gets the child.
