My mico clasica 20 has just died it stopped spinning the discs and had most of the syptoms you are experiencing.I was still looking for a budget player so i opted for the cambridge audio dvd55 from richersounds i payed £80.00 and have found the picture and sound is superior to the mico.

I have the LG home cinema speakers from argos but i have been given some Eltax alpha speakers that were bought in richer sounds.The question is would i be able to connect the eltax speakers to the LG subwoofer and would i notice any difference in the sound does the sound quality come from the amp or the speakers or both?.

Medion video sender

I have just bought the medion video sender and i cannot get it to work.The problem is on my JVC television i have 3 scart leads,scart 1 is setup for my sky+ and scart 2 is setup for my dvd player i have gone through the instructions for the video sender and connected up all the leads but cannot seem to get a picture in the bedroom i think it may have something to do with the AV channel on my television any help would be appreciated.

LG home cinema kit IN argos

Just bought the LG speaker system from argos because my remote control on my acoustic solutions decided it did not want to work anymore.On first impressions with the LG kit i am very impressed i am pretty new to home cinema but i no the basics between dts and dolby digital and the different sound quality, plus the acoustic solutions could only play dolby digital.I f anybody is interested in buying the LG home cinema kit from argos and need any questions answered i am happy to oblige.

I have the Acoustic Solutions 5.1 system connected up to a Mico Clasica 20 dvd player and a JVC 28 inch widescreen television which has had some great reviews. On the whole a excellent home cinema experience for only £800.00.

The spr-100 speakers are surround sound so they should go either side of your couch and not in the cabinet.Another tip take your time when putting up the stand it can get a bit confusing.

I have this television but not the surround spr100 speakers,my question is has anybody bought these speakers and what is the sound quality like when playing a dvd.do these speakers just produce dolby pro logic or dolby digital.

I have quite an old dolby pro logic sony television which was given to me the problem is it did not come with any surround sound speakers.The tv has a stand with a built in centre speaker but with no cables to connect them up.The question is were could i get the connections for this television,plus i have asked a couple of tv dealers about the speaker connections on the back of the tv and they do not seem to have a clue what i am talking about, the connections are an oblong shape but they do not have any red or black springs to grip the cable. One dealer said it could be that I need a cable with a spade shape connection on the end?,any help would be appreciated.

I am sorry about this but i am going to be a party pooper.i have only just got the dvd player and i am not going to start taking the lid off it to check some mainboard.if you want me to check serial numbers or specific connections that will not be a problem.

I put the hack in and left it for a bit because i did not have a region1 disc.A mate from work then lent me about 10 region 1 discs i placed one in the dvd drive crossed my fingers and the fbi disclaimer appeared and independance day started. the only thing i had to do is go in to the setup and set it to ntsc i then sat back to watch a great movie.

i don`t think there is a quick way or a slow way to input the hack for the pacific dvd player the only hint i can give you is that i tried it twice and it worked.

I think there must be two versions of this player the hack i put in was the one were you press zoom a-b etc i then lent a region 1 disc inserted in the dvd drive and it played perfectly i tried a few more region 1 discs and they all played fine.The region 1 movies i watched were

ONE NIGHT AT MCOOLS
SCARY MOVIE
They must br region 1 discs because the fbi disclaimer appeared at the start of every disc.

I bought the pacific dvd player from asda and i can play multi region discs on it i put the hack in which was given on this forum. just do a search for rowa and it should be on that.

I bought the rowa dvd from asda and took it back because it kept freezing and had a real blocky picture.I have just bought the new one from asda which is exactly the same as the rowa but it plays mp3s it is called the pacific i have only had it for a few days but i can see no difference in the quality of the picture and sound than that of the rowa.Has any body else purchased this player and is there any
region hack for it.

the rowa does not play mp3 i took mine back because it kept on freezing but the new one in asda does even though it does not say on the box and the make is pacific and it is exactly the same price as the rowa.

I bought the rowa dvd from asda and have been very impressed with the quality of picture and sound.On the web forums at the moment there seems be a search for the hack to make it multi region but if you just want to watch movies with a good quality picture and sound and at a very reasonable price the rowa is a very good buy.
