Her on X-Factor in the wheelchair ... con artist ??!!

I don`t post very often but Im so frustrated at the woman on X-Factor who has conned Sharon into putting her into the live show.

She was not better than the singers that were sent home, she received the sympathy vote.

Two things I have noticed;

1) She has cried on many occasions over the past few weeks, I`ve never seen tears ...

2) There`s a picture of her in The Sun today stood up with crutches ... she does not intend to use her wheelchair every week !! Why did she use it throughout the audition process ??

Make of it as you will.

Believe me when I say I have some sympathy for the women but playing on it .. is that right and ethically correct ??

My Oil Filled Radiator has just exploded !!!!!!!!

I bought a Challenge oil filled radiator (£30) from Argos 10 days ago.
When the timer switched it on at 715pm this evening there was a cracking then hissing sound as the oil began to spray out of the bottom of it, obviously a seal had opened up.
Oil went all over the carpet and walls and just missed me and my 6 month old baby who I was feeding on the bed about 5 ft from where the radiator was !!
The house now smells of oil and my bedroom carpet is damaged.

Could someone please tell me what I should do next because to me this radiator should be recalled by Challenge but I`m unsure whether to ring them or some other agency tomorrow ??

I don`t feel that I should have to claim on my house insurance when the product was to blame and it nearly caused me and my son injury from the warm oil.

Received Raising Helen yesterday, my wife watched it but switched it off due to it freezing.
I`ve just received Out Of Time and looking at the state of it I`m sure I`ll have the same problem later .. I`ll be cancelling my subscription with globalerental shortly.
If someone isn`t able to look after a DVD properly god only knows what their houses will be like !!!

I`ve finally taken the plunge and joined www.globalerental.co.uk.

After only two weeks membership I`ve been happy with the turnaround speed but I am very disappointed at how scratched each disc has been, so much so that each one hasn`t played correctly.
I`ve been in touch with the company who state that they will destroy the disc on receipt and send out another but that takes about 4 days to sort out.

The reason I`ve put this thread on is to ask if anyone knows how these discs get damaged like this. It appears that ignorant cistomers do not know that you should handle them on the edge and not use them as placemats when they`re not your own property !!

Can anyone recommend other companies that are better at sending out discs that work ?

DMTECH - DML-4117WD - HACK - anyone got one ??

Hi there.

Just bought the above 17" widescreen LCD with built in DVD, very pleased with it so far.
I`ve tried to change the region to 0 by pressing 3 3 3 3 with the right cursor from the set up menu.
I can get the screen which states region 2 at the bottom but I can`t seem to change the region to 0 by using the buttons on the remote (ie. number 0 or right cursor).

Could anyone help please ??

I have the Google toolbar which has a pop up blocker (880 blocked so far) but recently a site called `Bullseye` keeps coming onto my computer while I`m happily browsing the web without me requesting it.
Even if I delete it about 10 minutes later it will come back again, full screen rather than a little box.
Could someone tell me how I can stop this as it feels like something has invaded my computer .. thanks alot, Foxy.

I would say it depends on what you`re into.
If you`re like me and you`re not interested in the extras on DVD`s (let`s be honest the most you`ll ever watch them is once) and you have a decent home entertainment system then Superbit editions are worth going for.
I do notice the superior picture and sound quality but that`s probably as I watch my DVD`s on a plasma with Mission surrounds ..
I suppose if you`re likely to be watching your films on a portable tv then there`s no point going for Superbits !!

Help please - I can`t stay logged on anymore !!!!???

I don`t know what has happened or what I`ve done but I don`t seem to be able to remain logged on at websites that require a user name and password.
Now when I look at sites such as this one, Ebay, First Direct etc. I`ve got to re-enter all my details which is a pain, up until a month ago I didn`t have to do this each time.
I`ve checked my Cookies are enabled and they seem to be.
Can anyone help ??

Sorry for the boring topic but I could do with some advice if you have time.
I sold my house 3 weeks ago and reserved a gorgeous new build house due for completion in April.
Unfortunately the chain has collapsed but I don`t want to come clean with the builder as yet and lose my plot, I need to exchange contracts in 3 weeks !!
Has any one had any experiences with Bridging loans or anything similar ??
I do know a little bit about them and that they are expensive, the Halifax do seem happy to help but obviously they`ll make a lot on the interest.
Are there any places that are competitive on these loans ??

Hi there, I`m going on a `lads` holiday to Las Americas on friday, not been for a few years and was wondering whether anyone has just got back and would like to comment on whether they had a good holiday, pub/club recommendations, etc.
I`ve checked the weather and that seems more than fine !!
I last went beginning of December `98, the pubs on Veronicas were busy even then, what`s it like this time of year ??

Although no recommendations on this thread i`ve ordered The Eye from DDDHouse as I like the sound of reviews I have read and Ju-on from CD Wow although i`ve received an email stating there will be a delay due to them being out of stock.
I`ll resurrect the thread when I`ve watched them both and post my opinions.

DARK WATER - anything scarier ??!!!

Watched Dark Water R3 DTS last night, very impressed with the sound, picture and overall quality of the film, was quite scary as well, highly recommended !!
Anyone care to recommend any other R3 titles that are perhaps scarier, didn`t think I would like reading subtitles but after a while I didn`t mind it.

DVD Soon - Now you can all cancel !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have just checked my order status at DVD Soon and it now allows you to cancel orders with the click of a button (click on `pending orders`, then the order number, then `cancel` below the order details), now no need to send emails that get ignored anyway !!
I have been waiting for Twister SE for 4 weeks.
Up until 2 mins ago it said `on order` ....it now says cancelled !! ;)
