Buying Digital Camera in US

Hi
I`m off to the US shortly and was thinking about buying a digital camera -Sony DSC P150.
Would i be able to use it in the UK or is there a conflict with the voltage on the camera with using it in the UK.

Anyone had problems buying a camera in the US ?

Any help/views welcome

RE: Can Someone give me a crash course about Mortgages???

Have a look here http://www.thisismoney.com.
I used this to remortgage -excellent information.
Best advice i can offer is to go for a repayment mortgage.
I cashed my endowment in after i found that it was going to fall £12k short.

Good Luck

RE: What`s happened to Rings Auctions?

I can confirm they have gone into liquidation, i got a letter from an insolvency firm on Saturday

Rings Electrical --BEWARE

I got a letter today from an Insolvency company dealing with the voluntary liquidation of a Colombo Trading Limited trading as Rings.
I bid and won a TV on the electrobid .co.uk website which is advertised on the ringselectrical.com website.
The rings phone number and colombo are one and the same.
Presently i`ve been stung for £326 and hopefully i should get this back via my credit card company.
I`m probably not the only one involved in this.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH WWW.RINGS ELECTRICAL.COM AND WWW.ELECTROBID.CO.UK OR YOU COULD GET YOUR FINGERS BURNED

RE: Setting Up

Have a look at the sony.co.uk website under products. They give a load of connectivity variations(it helped me).
Hope this helps

RE: DAV S500 connectivity problems.

I`ve had the same problem (see previous thread "help please with connecting Sony DAVS500").

Unfotunately i think your stuck with the supplied connection.

A friend suggested that the problem may be connected to having the set multi regioned.

If you get any joy with this let me know

cheers

RE: Help please with connecting up Sony DAV 500

Thanks for your suggestions.
Unfortunatley i think i`m stuck with the phono-phono with scart adaptor(supplied with the system).

A friend suggested it might be the fact that it is a multiregion system and is unable to play in colour using the svideo-scart because of that ,any thought`s?

I found that if you need suggestions re connecting up to video, satellite, etc go to the www.sony.co.uk web site ,go to products and they have loads of connectivity suggestions.

Help please with connecting up Sony DAV 500

Recently got a Sony DAV 500 i bought a S-Video to Scart lead to connect up to my TV which has only one Scart socket.
This ended up with a black & white picture.
Can anyone help with this or am i stuck with the phono to phono with scart adaptor.

RE: Grey Imports-any problems/views

Mike

Thanks for your comments, which only confirmed what i thought originally that the "grey import" and "modifications" are a sales pitch that is unreliable and untrustworthy.

More comments/views/problems welcome.

Grey Imports-any problems/views

hi
I`m looking to buy a Sony DAV-S800 and i`ve been told by so called "experts"that the really cheap ones are "Grey imports", and as such have been modified for use in the UK.

Has anyone had any problems/views etc.

Cheers
