RE: X WAVE DVD PLAYER IN AMERICA HACKABLE?

if it`s an x-wave try www.ringos.co.uk as they post hacks for this machine

RE: dansai 852 back in at tesco

tesco at walkden (near manchester) if you ask your local branch they will get one in for you

RE: pacific 750 pal/pal60

sounds like a dodgy scart lead if changing this disne work try the composite if problem persist try a different tv if still bad change it at asda

dansai 852 back in at tesco

just letting anyone who is interested know that it`s back in stock got one today and it tested fine the problems with the last batch have been sorted out pal 50 conversion is excelent macro off multi-region is auto select or u can select manualy so it`s future proof also it plays dvd/vcd/mp3/dat/dvdr/dvdrw/svcd/vcd.o3/cvd/oko.

RE: does anyone no of a macrovision hack for a pacific dvd 1000

i would`nt recomend the pacific 750 to anyone (sorry but it`s crap)

RE: pacific 750 pal/pal60

in a word no.

but it has to be said that pal 50 is preferable as this is true pal however if you are having problems with a jerky frame rate switch to ntsc (i know this cos i had one and the pal conversion was very poor) unfortunatly this means you can`t back up your dvd`s but for that purpose pal 60 would be equaly usless as it uses the same carrier for the colour and your vcr can`t decode it

hope this helps ps. i took mine back to asda and got an x-wave from ringos.co.uk as this machine does everything

RE: HAS ENYONE TRIED THE MACRO HACK FOR ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS 521

eject
setup
step
prev

thats all i got sorry but i think the thread has expired so i can`t check

thanks in advance

RE: Pacific dvd 1000

there isn`t one (yet)

RE: macro hack for pacific 750

set top pal this will give colour but will not solve jumping as this is caoused by poor ntsc/pal conersion and cannot be cured (this is why i sent mine back)

HAS ENYONE TRIED THE MACRO HACK FOR ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS 521

DOES IT WORK ? AND HOW GOOD IS PAL/NTSC CONVERSION

THANKS IN ADVANCE

RE: Regional Coding Enhancement

most modern players will be ok (ie built within 8 months) also if you can manualy select regions it will definatly work

RE: macro hack for pacific 750

DO A SEARCH OF THIS SITE AND YOU WILL FIND IT

RE: FBI Skipping...

also the x-wave machines can skip most fbi/copyright intro`s (i think the x-wave is actualy a sampo)

RE: Need a DVD Region Hack for PS2

there is`nt one but you can get a region-x memory card this does the same thing and costs £20

RE: New DVD player approx £150, taking M5 back 4 refund

get an x-wave so far i`ve tried 9 different machines and the x-wave is the only one that plays them all and it plays vcd svcd dvd rom cdr cdrw mp3 multi region macro free genuine pal 50 conversion and best of all it`s exactly the right price £150 got mine from the computer fair at manchester (every sat at bowlers on trafford park) as i do not know which area you live in i`ll also give you there web address ringos.co.uk

hope this helps

RE: pacific dvd-750 player from Asda

it tries to play them all but the machine is very buggy ( oh actualy it does not play svcd`s) i had 3 (one after the other) and eventualy just got a refund

a very poor machine

RE: Pacific DVD-750 Player

it tries to play them it just doesn`t do it very well

RE: wharfedale 750 and mpeg 2

no solution that i know of as the 750 is not svcd compatable however if you are desperate to watch the film and have a re-writer try downloading vcd galaxy (got mine off morpheus) but you can download it directly as it`s free this will allow you to convert mpeg 2 to mpeg 1 then simply use nero/easy cd to make a standard vcd

RE: Can I Play CD-R`s ?

sirious brand cd`r definatly work as one of my machines is a samsung (thompson dvd`s are generaly samsung clones) try not to burn them any faster than 12x

RE: Pacific 750 or 1000 on a non-SCART TV?

firstly you realy realy should get a scart tv whats the point of getting dvd otherwise ? direct connection = better picture & sound also i have tried both pacific dvd players and they are very poor you can get much better for the same money elsewere (try tesco or richer sounds)

RE: Newbie needs help (desperately)...

you are in manchester go to the computer fair at bowlers in trafford park and get an x-wave dvd player £150 they play everything region 1 to 6 vcd svcd cdr cdrw macro off dts & dolby 5.1 you can also get all your dvd`s cheap

RE: updating firmware

and be very very carefull as you can kill your machine very easily and i mean kill !!!

RE: This macro thing, can someone tell me........

this won`t help firstly if you can watch the film ok without picture de-stabilisation the macro is of (this is assuming that it is connected to the vcr and record is pressed) but when you play back the video there are horizontal lines throughout the picture if this is the case then youre dvd player is only outputting pal 60 which is a european standard between ntsc & pal unfortunatly english vcr`s can not handle pal 60 they need pal 50 (the lines are the extra 10 frames encoded to pal 60 the vcr can`t recognise them so it outputs them the only way it can) and it`s these frames that are causing the problem many modern dvd player can convert to pal 50 especialy the chinese/japanese cloned/mass produced machines so try your dvd setting ie tv type pal NOT AUTO and see what happens if you have any trouble reply to this thread and tell me which model & make your dvd player is and i will try to sort you out one way or the other if you want you can email me 1nedgo.rehpotsirhc[at]ten.ocset (although i set my home page here i check my mail more regularly)

RE: (Help) Trying to Record R1/R2 To Video

if it`s copying r2 ok then the problem is poor ntsc/pal 50 conversion unfortunatly a macro buster will not help (also i am assuming that macro is disbled anyway) if macro is permanantly on the picture would be unstable all the time and would effect r1 & r2 equaly the only solution is a new machine (sorry) if you definatly want to do this the best machine i`ve come across is the x-wave (about £150) try ringos.co.uk as i have had good dealings with these fallas in the past and i`ve tried most of the common machines(it also plays mp3 vcd svcd cdrw cdr dat & dvd rom)

RE: NTSC to PAL signal converter required, try this!

YOU CAN ALSO GET ONE FOR THE PSX THEY ONLY COST ABOUT £15 THEY ONLY CONVERT TO PAL 60 BUT SHOULD GIVE YOU COLOUR (YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT THE PSX CONNECTOR OFF AND PUT PHONO PLUGS ON IT (OR A SCART LEAD IF U R FEELING ADVENTUROUS)

RE: HELP!! loking for multi region/macro free/pal 50 dvd player(£100ish)

if you can get a dansai 852 from tesco`s they seem very good and play vcd/svcd much better than x-wave

RE: HELP!! loking for multi region/macro free/pal 50 dvd player(£100ish)
