I`ve just ordrered a refurbished one from Virgin for £19.99 plus £2.99 postage. It`s just the phone, no inclusive minutes, and comes with a six month warranty. If you`re a Virgin customer call 789 from your mobile or 0845 602 4420 from a landline.

The minus points for AA`s are that they don`t last very long in a high useage device like a digital camera and high capacity ones take a hell of a long time to charge.

JaJah is an internet telephony provider allowing anyone with web access to make cheap or even free calls via normal landlines or mobiles. There`s no need to download software, all you do is register; and then enter the number you want to call from and to on its website. Your landline will ring and then when you`ve picked it up Jajah will call the destination number you entered.



How much does it cost?



The sign-up rate is totally free and so are calls, providing:


A. Both you and the person you`re calling are registered.
B. You`re both using either a landline in Europe, Australia, New Zealand or Taiwan or a landline or mobile in the US, Canada, China, Singapore of Hong Kong

If not you will be charged (see charge list). However either way, do note you have to keep the account active, which means you need to make a free call, a cheap call or a text message every 2 weeks.



How does it work?

Jajah makes use of both VOIP and normal landlines using voip for the major part of the call, then switching to the normal telephone system for the last leg. This means it can offer cheap rates but the call quality is surprisingly good.

Fair Usage Policy


It operates a fair usage policy; which basically asks you to be reasonable and limit to your free calls to an hour a day five days a week. This is sufficient for most but if you go over that use the CallChecker to find cheap rates.

Mine displays `no disc` no matter what media i put in. I`ve switched it off for a while, reset it via the menu and the remote but it still will not play.
I can`t find the receipt.
Has anyone any ideas?

Looks pretty decent, but the FM radio is not built in. It`s a pretty crappy auto scan unit that`s built into the headphones.

About the DVD Video format

Using digital technology to provide excellent sound and picture quality, the DVD format appears set to become the standard for home entertainment.

To control the release of DVDs, discs are manufactured with one of six "Region Codes" and will only play on DVD Players with the matching code.
Region 2 DVDs and players are available in Europe, South Africa, Japan and The Middle East (inc. Egypt)

WHSmith.co.uk sells only Region 2 DVDs.
As the machines main selling point is the ability to play Divx, does it realy matter if it is Region 2 only?

The handbook states that it is included, but there was not one in my box.

If you need advice do not ask the o2 help team. All they do is give you bum information then ask you to call the help line at 50p per minute.
Better off with the folks on this and other forums.

The phone is a Nokia 7600 from CPW on 3.
I managed to suss out how to get GPRS on o2.
Problem was o2 were giving me the wrong info.
Go to Menu> Settings>Connection Settings>Edt Active Service Settings>Bearer Settings>GPRS access point:you need to enter payandgo.co.uk
User name needs to be payandgo
Password needs to be password

Go to Menu>Connectivity and select GPRS
Select GPRS modem settings
Choose active access point as o2
Choose edit active access point
Choose GPRS access point and set as wap.o2.co.uk

Hope that works for you.

I got free sim cards but I can not access GPRS. Settings I downloaded for my Nokia 7600 such as Password and user name do not match what o2 say they are. They say User name is payandgo my settings show o2wap. They say Password is password, I have no password set. Has any one else had problems.
