WHICH SPEAKERS TO GO WITH SONY STRDB940???PLEASE HELP!

HELLO,
I AM ALL NEW TO THIS,AND NEED SOME HELP,I HAVE A SONY KV32FX60 TV,A STRDB 940 AMP ,LG2280P DVD PLAYER. BUT CANNOT DECIDE ON SPEAKERS,IHAVE GOT £5OO TO SPEND.
MY CHOICE AT THE MOMENT IS:
THE YAMAHA NS300 OR NS200 FOR THE FRONTS.
NSC2OOC FOR THE CENTRE.
NS100 FOR REARS.
I CAN GET ALL THE ABOVE FOR NO MORE THAN MY BUDGET IS THIS A GOOD CHOICE? I WOULD BE GRATEFULL FOR ANY COMENTS AS I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO GO AND LISTEN, BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE PRETTY GOOD.

lg2280p,firmware+region hack(ittroll+jimbo)

i was able to region hack my 2280p with the posted hack and was elated as i have read that not all 2280p owners were able to,but thinking back my player would not play the MATRIX so i contacted LG and they arranged an exchange,i now know that the firmware was updated and this is probably why the hack worked.the thing is the problem is that it won`t play the bonus disc with the FIGHT CLUB now i havn`t tryed toy story yet.i have checked the firmware with the hack and it says version 1.6 also after checking this it defaults back to region 2,so i had to re-hack it.i would have thought the firmware was good enough but i guess not,i`ll have to get back to LG.
just wondered what you thought

right then gooner the hack below only works on some 2280p so best of luck,all i can say is it worked on mine.with remote do following.

1)press "pause"

2)enter 3,1,4,1,5,9 ("COdE" shoud appear on display of player.)

3)enter region code now i.e 0 for multi region,1 for region one etc.

4)press "pause"

5)power off and wait a few seconds.

6)power on and enjoy.

p.s dont power on player before you start hack it will come on itself,let me know how you get on.

try the hack posted on the thread for the 2280p i am told it may work on a couple of different LG models.

here goes again,
this hack only works on some 2280p,but it worked on mine,thanks again jimbo.

1)power on player.

2)press pause.

3)enter 3,1,4,1,5,9.

4)code will appear on display,then enter 0 for multiregion,1 for region1 etc.

5)press pause.

6)power off player,and wait a few seconds.

7)power on player and "ENJOY"

i used the hack posted below on my lg2280p and it worked perfectly,i bought my player from currys in february 2000 and it hasnt had any kind of mod fitted.but i am aware that it only may work on some players.

what is best site to buy region 1 titles

i have been looking for the best site to buy region 1 titles from,up to now the best i can find is dvdboxoffice.com which offers free delivery.
would like to know others.

1)power on player.

2)press "pause".

3)enter 314159 with remote.

4)CODE will appear on front display,enter region code i/e 0,1,etc.

5)press "pause"

6)power off player and wait a couple of seconds.

7)power on player and enjoy

i bought my player in currys in february 2000, and on the back of the player it says it was made in august 1999, if this makes any difference to whether it works or not. (different firmware)

the hack i used for my 2280p is as follows

5) press "pause"

6) power off player and wait for a couple of seconds

7) power on player and code should be changed

first of all jimbo thank you very much for the hack i was just about to sell the damm thing and by a multi-region.anyway my only concern is there a limit to how many times you can change the code?

JIMBOS HACK FOR AIWA WORKS ON MY LG2280P

I TRYED THIS HACK TONIGHT ON MY LG 2280P AND I CHANGED THE CODE TO REGION O: .UNFORTUNATLY I DONT HAVE A REGION 1 DVD TO TRY,BUT I WILL BORROW ONE TOMORROW AND TRY IT I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW I GET ON BUT IT LOOKS PROMISING.
