Well there engineer could not find a fault with it.So i collected for my dad but when i put it back on for him still got same fault.No digital comet are saying it is my dads reception?

Yeah trading standards are involved they are ringing me back tomorrow cos i missed their call today cos i was out.

what a day just got back from comet took the telly back due to advice from customer advice on the phone.Told the manager cos my dad as only had the tv for 20 days that we wanted a fefund but he said he can`t refund till the engineer as checked it but i said get the engingeer to check it now but he so no it`s booked for thursday anyway i said no i am not going to bring it back if it`s not faulty.Then i was asked to leave the store which i refused then a member of he`s staff told me to shut up and i said who you telling to shut up then she told me to **** off i said to the manager you teach your staff well don`t you swearing at the customer`s then she started crying.then police turned up and asked to leave or be arrested.So my dad who is in he`s late 70s is left with no tv to watch which he paid good money for which is not right and is bugging me big time.Comet don`t buy from them they are crap.this happened yesterday.

Hi my dads getting on a bit and is nearly house bound and he wanted a new tv so i went and got him a philips 42 lcd from comet the first one went wrong after 22 days which when i rang philips they said take it back to the shop and exchanged it for a new one cos the tv was less than 30 days old which i did but he rang yesterday and said the 2nd tv as gone wrong as well and only had it 20 days so rang comet for him and they said can`t exchanged it cos they need to send a engineer out to see it but i said about what`s the point in that cos it`s a fault that can`t be fixed but they just said engingeer will be round my dad`s house on thursday so as you can imagine he`s not to pleased.

just a few things about it i can`t find in the manual like when watching a program that you have recorded and you go to watch it and say you watch most of it then when you go to finish of watching it instead of watching it from where you left it you have to watch from the start again which is a right pain.

philips 610

got a philips dvdr 610 which i have had for a couple of years now but for the last day or two when i record a program when i watch it it keeps freezing up is it on its way out or do it need a dvd cleaner?

scratched dvd

anyone got any tips on cleaning a scratched dvd i recorded hustle which is one off my fav programs but went to watch it today and it just gets stuck i have tryed it on 5 dvd player but all the same?

hi trying to text someone but they are not getting back to me plus when i ring it just goes to the voice message so how do i know if there phone is still working or not or maybe they just don`t want to get back to me?

i got same problem but i have tryed to reset it but now all i can get is on the front panel is the tv on but i can`t get the screen up?

i had quite a few problems with my 610 but it as been ok till yesterday when i upgraded to the lastest software which is bt1 31 but since then i can`t get nothing up on screen like systems or the menu so there is no way i can change the dics speed or set the timer is they any way i can go back to the update before which was 26? :(

i got a philips dvd recorder 610 which i have had now for about 8 months or so but about 2 weeks ago i recorded a program but when i went to erase it it did but now the dics is is no good i can`t record on it no more then last night it happened again as anyone had this happen to them? :(

hi got a philips dvd recorder 610 which i record on when i record on +rw no problem at all with playing on the 3 player i got in the house but when i record on tdk+r they will only play on the philips 610 not on any off the other payers i got in the house can`t understand why it won`t read on the other players?

have you tryed turning it off at the mains for a min or so then turn it back on to see if that does it?
