About 9 months ago i bought the 321 model region 2 hoping to use the hack supplied here, as many people found it worked. Everything worked except the multi region hack. After serching the net i found that on some players different chip sets were used, which allowed some to be hacked and some not, this is how some players can be sold as multi region and some not.. I therefore believe this might be the case for the 421 also. It will probably be just one chip but i am not 100%. I have bought the 421 for my sister and also found what you did. i have looked everywhere for alternative hacks, with no joy. I have even opened the player up to try and find what chips are being used, but again no luck. If you want multi region you may have to take the player back and get a different model. Sorry couldn`t be more help.

LG 2280P REGION HACK

For a long time now i have been looking for region free remote hack for this modle. I have tried the hacks for all the other LG modles and the aiwa hack but nothing! Does anyone have any ideas other than getting it chipped.

Downloading VCD`s

Hi

I have been told that it is possible to dowload VCD`s, from sites called Warez or something along those lines. Does anyone know if this IS possible and if so where could i find a site??

I to had this problem and had no luck finding a hack. This was over 12 months ago now and i still haven`t found a hack, if i were u i would consider getting it chipped as this can b done very cheaply now, or do as i did and just buy another dvd player i picked up a 2nd hand multi-region player for £60. I know this doesn`t help but don`t get your hopes up.

Thanks for the advice. The reason i asked is because i am in the states at the moment and thought i might bring one back but it might be more trouble than it is worth by the sounds of it.

I have an LG player 2280p and so far no hacks have worked. However i believe on a couple of people have had success. I would possibly consider a philips as if a remote code is not available all players can be chiped 4 £20, according to one web site.
