DVD burning problem
Hi I am having a problem with Nero vision express 3 my daughters boyfriend installed it on my pc so tha I could put some films that he had put on my hard drive onto disk in DVD format everything seems to be working till I try to burn and select the writer that I want to use, when I do I get a message along the lines of "this version of nero vision express will only work with the writer it is bundled with" is this some sort of security that stop you using it if it is installed in more than one pc of am I just making a basic mistake some where along the line any advice or help would be gratefully received.I installed all the updates for this version but this did not change a thing,by the way I know very little about computers so any advice anyone can give would be appriciated in very simple terms so that an idiot like me can understand many thanks in advance

Help with ripping music from cd`s
I hope that someone can help me or give me advice I bought a new pc just before xmas
from curry`s I am a novice when it comes to them, we had a old one which we used mainly for putting music on to our mp3`s and my daughter used it for msn I never had any problems ripping music from bought or copied cd`s on this one but the new one when I try to rip cd`s it starts to rip then misses out at least the first two tracks on some its been up to the first 7 tracks it then rips the rest and then goes back and tries to rip the ones that it skipped it eventually rips these but it can take up to half an hour to rip one track is this a hardware fault,or a software fault or is it me being thick and doing somthing wrong all the cd`s I have tried to rip are bought ones if anyone can help me I will be very grateful because I am getting to the stage where I am just going to take it back and ask for a replacement.
Goodmans X-pro DVD recorder
I was bought one of these products approx 16 months ago as a xmas present when I set it up there was problems tuning in the terrestrial channels although the reception is very good there was interferance whenever I tried to watch these channels even when the recorder was on standby to get a decent picture we had to watch every thing through sky.I sort of got round that by splitting the ariel and putting one directly into the television, but anything recorded was of poor quality even off sky so it was used very little to record it was basically used as a dvd player then about 3 months ago the problems really started when you switched it on the hello message stayed on for ages the only way to get rid was to switch it off at the wall and then switch it back on again and hope the hello message disappeared and it would allow you to open the tray to put a disc in and play it eventually at the beggining of last week it just froze totally it would not react to any commands from the remote or from controls on the front panel when power was switched off then switched back on it didn`t go into standby mode but straight on to the hello message.
On wednesday morning 29.3.06 I emailed the goodmans customer care and advice centre asking if this was a common fault and if there was any way of resetting the machine eg pressing a combination of buttons but I am still waiting a reply this to me is not customer care it is crap I have read other reviews and people asking for help on this site about goodmans products and mine dosn`t seem like a isolated case.
I will never buy another goodmans product and I would advise anyone who is thinking about buying a goodmans product to reconsider it.
RE: advice on setup of dvd recorder goodmans xpro
hello photoman thanks for your reply to my request for help,in reply to your questions I have not tried recording using the video+ mode as yet the only recording I have done is instant recording and therefore have not noticed that when the recorder powers up that the tv switches to the scart signal so at the moment I cannot be of any great help to you but I will try and work it out. I will also split my aerial and put one straight into the tv thanks again sneb
advice on setup of dvd recorder goodmans xpro
:/ HELLO I hope that some one can help me,I recently bought a Goodmans Xpro DVD recorder I set it up thinking all I had to do was remove the RF leads from my video and substitute the dvd player in its place and retune the tv channel to pick up the signal from the dvd the instructions said this was possible it wasn`t so I mucked around with a mixture of scart leads and RF leads until eventually got it working the instructions said not to do this as interference may occur on tv channels sure enough there is interference on the terrestrial tv channels but not when I view these through Sky but this means that we have to watch what we are copying or watch poor quality tv there is nothing wrong with the aerial as I have tested it on another tv with perfect results please can anyone give me some advice as to how to cure this or possibly point out were I am going wrong yours hoping
