I too hope that Maddie if found for her sake and not her parents.

I am a mother myself and I am mortified that they left their kids alone. We go to the same holiday resort complex in the Dominican every year and I know it is secure but I still don`t leave my kids alone. If one is tired at 9 o`clock i will take them back to the room and I stay in the room too. If I was at home and I left my 14yr old son and my 9yr old daughter at home alone to have a night out and my daughter was taken, the british press would have a field day calling me a bad parent and I would probably be charged for leaving them. I personally feel as soon as the parents set foot on British soil again they should be charged under the british law for neglect.

Who is paying to keep the parents in portugal. My aunt saved for 15 years to go to the vatigan to see the pope. Maddies parents stated they would not leave portugal till they had maddie back but they took a trip to Rome.

Thats it from me as I will start ranting if I don`t stop now. LOL

I hope and pray Maddie and Ben are found

Nothing yet just got it today, seen a few on their website so going today to spend my vouchers and I will try to get them to sell me one at the internet price. I have wrote all the make and model numbers and the online prices. If I can get one at their internet price I can also get my daughter a DS lite as well she will be over the moon.

Thats her main xmas box took care of.............LOL

Well just to let you all know I wrote to Currys with a brilliant letter and (2 weeks later) today I got my first reply with a letter and £800 in vouchers.
To me that is a brill outcome. I thought I was going to have a fight and probably loose. So it goes to show will power. LOL

Hi, I get an email like this every month from virgin media. It`s not a scam. It`s your broadband statement.

This payment goes to the broadband department. When you get your telephone bill it should be £5 charges and the rest will be for your call usage.

When you get put onto these deals for some reason the payments get split into the different departments.

Have you just joined the 3 for £30 or have you been with it for a while.

TECHWOOD PLASMA TWP4205/4210

Do you or have you owned one of these plasma TV`s.

Has it stopped working and you can`t get it fixed.

I own one and it has just stopped working after only 3 1/2 years.

I have seen numerous people on other forums compaining about theirs.

I am making a complaint to the retailer who sold me it and if I can get other people who also own a broken one to join me then we might have a case.

If you know of someone who has one then get them to reply to this.

The make of TV is a TECHWOOD TWP4205. Only currys and dixons sold these and trying to find TECHWOOD themselves is impossible. Searched internet over 4 hours yesterday trying to find them. I have found other forums where people have the same TV and the same problem.........

If you know who TECHWOOD are then please tell me LOL

He put the circuit board dead on the report and the fact that is now discontinued to get. He just worded to me about the wear and tear bit. But surely companies are obliged that when they sell goods the parts to repair them are also available for a certain length of time. Someone told me this period was 5 years. I will just have to wait and see what kind of reply I get from Currys and then take it from there.

I had my tv looked at by an independent engineer who told be the Power Circuit Board was dead. In his opinion it is not wear and tear. So the fight is on with Currys. :)

Trading standards told me I had a case. So I will fight them all the way to the death >:(

Sale of goods act

I bought a plasma TV from Currys in November 2003 which cost £2000. Now this morning went to switch it on I have sound but no picture. After paying this amount of money I expected the TV to last longer than 3 1/2 years. Does anyone know if I have any legal rights to go back to the shop and complain. Please let me know if you have had any similar problems and the outcome.

TRAMPOLINE ENCLOSURE HELP

I bought a trampoline with enclosure net last year from ASDA. I never got round to putting the eclosure net on until now and low and behold the instructions have gone missing. Is there any one out there who has bought the same one from ASDA and still has the instructions that they could scan and email me please. I have tried numerous ways to get it on but bugger me if I can. LOL

B&B in the Sheffield, Rotherham area

Hi, my husband is moving down to the sheffield area for work and we need to find some cheap clean digs for him to stay in. He will need a longterm room for a couple of months at least. If you have or now of any nice B&B`s please let me know. He`s not really bothered about the breakfast side just needs a bed to sleep in (ah!!!!!!!!!!!!) LOL.

His work is short and distance driving, so he won`t be a 9 to 5 punter. 24hrs entry needed. He is well trained so you won`t even know he`s there.

July 7th Queens Award

Today the Queen is handing out awards to the services for their bravery in the july 7th bombing.
Before I start I know I am going to have a lot of negative replies but I had to get it off my chest.

When the attacks happened I agree that our services did an excellent job. The police, fire brigade and the ambulance service acted extremely well. I don`t live in London I only watched what was happening on my TV. I can`t imagine how anyone involved felt and personally I hope I never have to go through what anyone did that day.

But when it comes to handing out medals what about the people who were travelling on the underground and on the bus that day who were just going to their jobs that morning who were hurt in the bombings that could have just got up and walked away but stayed with other injured people helping them stay alive. For an example one man was injured on the underground he could have left but two american sisters were trapped one was close to death but he stayed with them talked to them wrapped them up and they both survived. The bravery of the people who were actually in the underground and on the bus were more heroic than that of any of the services.

I know the services train for these situations, it`s their job and I agree no amount of dummy training can prepare you for the real thing, but all I say is when the news tonight shows the service people getting their medals from the Queen, or even just mentions it please spare a thought for all the people on the tube and the bus who were also very much a hero as anyone else.
I have great respect for our services and they all do a great job. I am not putting their work down in any way.

Can anyone help me, I bought two unlocked phones from ebay. when they arrived i tried them with my kids sim cards one O2 and one vodafone and they worked. but my problem is the setting are still on the orange network. The start up screen still comes up with orange. Does anyone know how i can stop the phone bringing up the original service providers logo. someone told me that if they were unlocked properly in the first place they should not have the original orange settings left in. Can anyone tell me if this is true and can i get rid of the orange settings

5.1 home cinema

Can anyone help me?

I am looking for a 5.1 surround sound system for my tv. I used to have a lg home cinema in a box and it worked great for 2 years but it has just died on me. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced one. I want to be able to watch my dvd`s and the tv in surround sound.

I would also advise seeking help from social services it`s only a phone call and they do have people to can mediate for you. But at the end of the day no advise from anyone especially a bunch of strangers like us can tell you what to do. Only you can decide to do what to do.

all i am getting at is why pay hundreds of pounds when u can spend next to nowt on one that will work just as well. and the + or - isn`t an issue if your just using it for recording off tv as you watch it from the same machine

right if you are a sky viewer follow these instructuions:

press your services button goto system setup then add channels. in the top box type 10.758 and a letter V should be displayed. then change the next box to 22.0 by pressing left or right keys then in the next box change the FEC to 5/6 by pressing left or right. then press find channels. A list will come up highlight channel 10072 press the yellow button and store.
that easy if you cant wait till monday. LOL everytime you want to watch it you have to go into your services menu and press other channels highlight 10072 then you can watch itv4. you have to press service buttonagain then back up to get back to the normal viewing mode.
it works i guarantee

to be hones i don`t know why most recorders are +rw. most of the branded recorders are still about the 200.00 mark. Asda are doing a cyberhome dvdrecorder for 80.00 thats all i would pay to be honest. i payed over 300 a few years ago for a philips it lasted till early this year so i went out and bought a mico recorder for 80. Once i set it up and started fiddling about with it as you do the menu and setup was exactly the same as my old philips. goes to show!!!!! but the mico recorder was purchased on ebay and it was multi region out the box.
