RE: Snatch R2

Hmm, Ironduke, I believe that this DVD is the only Snatch you`re ever going to get your hands on?

Life`s hard isn`t it...

To all writing here in this thread...

RE: Multiregion hack for Minato G-1?

Yeah sure Allan,

The hack is, switch the unit on, open the disc tray (with the remote) and then type 0,1,1,1 and then the number of the region you want to switch it to (e.g. for region 1, type 0,1,1,1,1 or region 3 type 0,1,1,1,3 etc.). The only problem is that you have to type the code in each time you play a different region disc, `cos it sticks in the last mode you changed it too, but if it saves having to buy a chip, who gives a damn! (I know I don`t, being a poor student with a hopeless DVD addiction).

RE: Andy99 - Which code did you use for the Minato G1?

Sorry guys,

It must`ve been a freak with my DVD player, I left it on after playing my T2-Ultimate Edition R1 DVD and played Aliens R2 straight after and it worked fine. Then I played American Pie R2 straight after that and it still worked. But after I switched it off and back on again, I had to type the code in again to get R2`s to work. Strange...

Sorry to disappoint you!

I suppose the search for a region free code must go on, although I`ve heard some worrying rumours that the amount of times you can use the code is limited! Arrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhh!

RE: PC World but 2 get 1 free

That Thunderbirds deal`s got to be a mistake, I work part-time in GAME and we sell a boxset of the Thunderbirds DVD`s for about 100 odd quid! You got a bargain there!

RE: Minato DVD-G1

I own a Minato G-1, and I`ve used the code to play T2-Ultimate Edition on R1. The thing is, I forgot to type the code in, and it seems to play all my DVD`s fine anyway. I`m not sure if there`s a limit to the amount of times you can do it, but even if it does, it can be chipped and have the macro disabled to.

Try out the Minato G-1 from Tesco!

I`ve just bought a Minato G-1 player from Tesco, it`s got Dolby and DTS, Scart output, plays V-CDs, CDs and I think it might play MP3 too, all for £129.99. Bargain! It`s also remote hacked to play multiregion, I`ve only had to do it once, but now it seems to automatically change regions without having to type the code in! Fantastic!

R1 Terminator Ultimate Edition - Easter Egg Codes?

Hey everyone,

I`ve just bought the Terminato Ultimate Edition on R1, from Play247, and I heard that there`s an Easter Egg code or something for it to access extra features, can anyone tell me what it is?

Your help would be appreciated!

The search goes on for a remote hack for the new Minato G-1 Player...

Having bought a Minato G-1 player from Tesco at only 129.99, I have to say I was impressed. I spoke to someone about the unit and they said that it`s based on similar architecture to the Wharfedale 750s. I really want a remote hack for the unit, so that I can play lovely R1 DVD`s, but I haven`t seen any anywhere. The furthest I`ve got so far is by opening the disc tray with no disc in using the remote, and then if you type numbers (numbers only), it shows 3 green stars in the top left corner. If any more than 3 numbers are punched in it comes up with the stop signal. This leads me to believe that the multiregion code must be a 3 digit number code. Does anyone have any clues? Any help would be much appreciated!

RE: Minato G-1 and Playstation 2 Region hacks required

I`ve been having a fiddle with my Minato G-1 player, and when opening the disc tray with the remote and pressing the number keys, green stars appear in the top left of the screen, possibly meaning that the hack will be a combination of 4 numbers on the remote keypad.

I haven`t really bothered trying any combinations as I haven`t got any region 1 DVD`s to try the codes with yet!

Hope this might help someone!

RE: Minato G-1 and Playstation 2 Region hacks required

Cool, how much would it cost to chip one then? And does the chip work against RCE protected DVD`s?

Thanks again

RE: Minato G-1 and Playstation 2 Region hacks required

Cool, could you tell us whether the remote hack works? I`m new to this game and don`t really know what I`m doing? I`m used to messing about with PSX`s.

RE: Minato G-1 and Playstation 2 Region hacks required

Oh right, they must`ve been wrong then. There`s a bloke called Mooba who said that he`s changed it to region 1 using his remote, but he can`t change it back to region 2. He said that he`d used one of the most common remote hacks to do it as well.

RE: Minato G-1 and Playstation 2 Region hacks required

Hey Steve,

Yeah, it plays V-CD`s? I`ve bought one and it says in the manual that it won`t play them. Cool. Well, good luck with taking it apart, someone told me it`s based on the Wharfedale 750, but I could be wrong, could you tell us in a minute?

Cheers, Andy

Multiregion hack for Minato G-1?

I don`t know if any of you guys know if there`s a Multiregion remote hack for the G-1 do you? I`ve heard that it`s based on the Wharfedale 750s, but can anyone verify that?

I`ve just purchased a Minato G-1 from Tesco

Being a student I can`t really afford to splash out too much on a DVD player, and when I saw the G-1 at 129.99 in Tesco, I thought I better go for it. I wasn`t expecting much for my money, but it`s quite impressive, playing all of my DVD`s without any slowdown and very impressive picture quality. I had a bit of trouble getting The Sixth Sense to work but I just stopped the DVD and started it again and it worked fine, possibly just a glitch on the disc itself. The only thing I want now is to find out if there is a multiregion hack for the machine, I`ve been told that it`s based on the Wharfedale 750s, but I don`t want to try it out in case I lock it onto another region and can`t change it back! All in all though, for £130 you can`t go wrong!
