i also tried it....nothing happened!
another thing is when i connect my ps2 no matter what setting its on itleaves an uneven black line around 1 cm down the right hand side..when i link my old n64 it fills the screen no problem!!!
i dont even no if i can take the tv back as northern electric say u only have 7 days to get a full refund..ive had mine for 15 days

cant fill the screen on most of my dvds..leaves a small triangle(1cm on right..fading down about 1/4 to the left..
abyss didk wont fill the screen...even auto zoom doesnt work.
when linking ps2 big thick black line down right hand side!!!

what about the 1cm at one side gonig to 0.5cm on the left ..which is just on the bottom...im sure my mates old toshiba doesnt do it.when i link my ps2 to my telly theres a gap to the right is this normal as i know it doesnt do it on other widescreen tvs...cheeers if u could help

just bought a thompsons flat screen tv the other day..when i play some dvds...lock stock(16:9 uk)...toystory1(1.7:1uk)...vertical limit(1.85:1us)..they fill the screen and look good,however on some disks...matrix(2.35:1uk)....starwars(2.35:1uk)...teminator2(16:9us)..when i fill the screen there is a black line that is about 1cm high on the right sloping down to about 0.5cm on the left.no matter what zooms i use on these they dont seem to fill the screen!!why lock stock works yet terminator 2 doesnt (same ratios!!)
help please!!!

the dvd player needs 5.1 plugs on the back front left - right....rear left-right....centre...sub...these go into the sub which acts an amplifier..have u got the 5.1 plugs on the back? ps have the bush 300 ...really good!!

help please tv problem....just bought a thompson 28wf25u widescreen tv...when i play region 1 disks faint black lines run up the screen so i dont think my new tv can handle ntsc playback. i have an lg 3350e dvd player with the auto-pal-ntsc switch on the back.
i can remove the black images my changing the component setting to s-video on the dvd player...but is there another way as s-video isnt suppposed to be as crisp as component.......please help as i may have to take my tv back to the shop todat!!!!!!

sometimes sounds like explosions sound pretty weak in the front speakers..saying that my speakers and sub all cost 80 quid..bush pro 300.
when i just used my hifi they semed pretty loud...5.1 is better for the extra speakers though

the speakers and sub r connected to the 5.1 connections on the back and at the same time i can connect my hifi to the audio input output connections onthe back of my dvd player.so i can have my 5.1 speakers on and my hifi on...so sound is coming through7 speakers.inc sub...but i was wondering if this would not be advisable

q1.my surround speakers connect to my sub then connections from the sub into the back of the 5.1 connections on the back of the dvd player, which is connected by scart to the tv...how do i get sound from normal tv programmes to go through my speakers.

q2.with the 5.1 speakers connected could i also leave the speakers in which are connected to my hifi..i.e sound through 7 speakers...or could this be to much and blow the speakers or the dvd player.

the bush system i find is exellent for the price great sound.the speakers connect to the sub then the sub connected to the 5.1 plugs on the back of my dvd player..dont kow what u would do if u didnt have these..lg 3350e= exellent machine

why not try the bush pro 300..only 80 quid from tescos...5 speakers and sub woofer...(its all i could afford but was very pleased with the actual sound quality)
