RE: eBay Tactics
What about sellers tactics - anyone out there had their mates bid on items for them, just to bump up the price?
RE: I`m Sick Of The BBC
Tired of the snooker and p`eed off with the BBC?
Time to insert your newly released GOODIES DVD and enjoy.
Two birds, one stone....
Can`t quite understand the delay in this release, but it was certainly worth the wait.
Ecky thump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RE: A bit Info needed from you boys north of the border
That`s me told!
RE: A bit Info needed from you boys north of the border
Perhaps it could be they thought " He could always phone a Scottish Safeways store and ask, he just wants to save the cost of the call " and they say Scots are careful with their money ? ;-))
Perhaps it could be you didn`t read the question.
Cue the grammar and punctuation assassins...........
A bit Info needed from you boys north of the border
Anyone know if it is indeed true that sweetheart stout is only available in Scotland. It`s my dad`s favourite wee tipple and used to be sold in our local safeway - until a couple of numpties decided to burn it down! Now that it has re-opened, they have saw fit not to stock it.
Scanning photos - how many dpi?
When scanning photo`s to be burned to a VCD, what dpi setting should I use?
Photo cd software
Can anyone recommend a good phot to cd (vcd)software package.
So far I`ve tried Nero, Eacy CD 7 and imagemixer with very poor results. I`ve tried an evaluation version of Photodex`s Pro show Gold, which did yield good results, but I`m sure it can`t be the only decent one out there.
Working From Home
Does anyone know of any legitimate companies offering home-work?
RE: Would i look a t**t if i shaved my head???????
I`m at the other end of the spectrum here - I did have a shaven head, but now I`m growing it again, and it`s ginger! I`m now at that awful psuedo mullet stage, but power to the Ginger Massive! Keep your hair the colour it is (post dyeing) and wear it with pride.
RE: The `convertable gits` get their revenge
The convertable - Womans car!
If you want to appreciate the weather, get out and walk.
RE: Fight Club!
I`ve watched the Region 2 version and own the region 1 - IMHO the cutting of this scene (even though I think censorship sucks) lends more to its brutallity, as the emphasis now lies with the horrified reaction of the crowd and not simply with the physical act itself.
RE: Stag Night Need Some Help!
Pay a visit to your local Jessops. They and other photo service shops provide this service.
RE: Auto dial up (?)
Sorted!
Think this is just a wrist slapping from XP - auto dial up is no more!
Cheers folks
RE: Auto dial up (?)
Thought we were onto a winner there choagy until I got another pop up saying:
You have used the system configuration utility to make changes to the way windows starts.
the system config utility is currently in diagnostic or selective start up mode, causing this message to be displayed and the utility to run every time you start windows.
Choose the normal start up and undo the changes you made.
eek!
RE: Auto dial up (?)
Went with clayts advice with ctrl -alt-del and found this fella to be the culprit: rasautou.exe What the goonie goo goo is this?
Incidently, I have zonealarm installed and I don`t have the auto connect box ticked (?)
Auto dial up (?)
How do I find out which program is forcing an auto dial up when I start up my comp. Unless I let it dial up and connect, the dial up window pops up repeatedly
RE: Installing new operating system - do I format first?
Thanks Rev
Do I format using a floppy, or is it OK to right click the drive and then format?
It`s a full version of XP - not an upgrade, do I still need an old windows cd?
Installing new operating system - do I format first?
I`ve bagged a copy of Windows XP Prof. and was wondering, should I format my hard drive first, or just put the cd in and reboot? Secondly, I`ve already partitioned my hard drive using partition magic. Will this cause problems with the program no longer being on the system when XP is installed?
Thanks for any help
RE: Another PC problem
Save for this window, the screen is now blank - having tried to close using Ctrl-alt-del again. So the system isn`t ceasing up completetly(?)
The RAM, although I can`t give you a figure, should be fine as I have used 98 on it before - I`ve just installed a new hard drive.
Another PC problem
I`ve just installed windows 98 which is giving me major gip. I`d been using 98 on a lap top with few problems, save for the usual odd glitch here and there, but all in all stable enough. Since installing it on my home comp I`m repeatedly having a problem when closing programs in that the folder tab remains on the bottom task bar. When I use ctrl-alt-del to try and close it completely, the screen goes to a blank desktop and sits there until I restart the damn thing - any ideas on fixing this. Surprisingly, when I visited the microsoft web site, it told me there were no new updates available for W98(?)
RE: Favourite Home Theatre Demo Scene
Not a scene from a film in the classic sense, but I have a vcd copy of Star Wars (pre `greedo shot first` bastardisation) and there`s a smart dolby sequence at the beginning that sounds very Tomb Raider/Aztec stylee.
RE: Climbie parents consider legal action
Another fine example of todays society in which everyone knows their rights but not their responsibilities
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - things just got better
I usually frown upon the re-issue and re-hashing of dvd`s but can`t wait for the Criterion release of this fine film - one of the few books to film adaptations that have complimented each other so well.

Hi Fi speakers and Cinema set up
Is it feesable to use Hi Fi speakers as your surround speakers in a home theatre set up?
RE: YOUNG ONES r2 question
I`ve been a tad sad and watched most of series one with the scripts in hand and am pleased to say there are no cuts! Did have my concerns when I saw how UK Gold had messed with a couple of episodes, but all is well. Any news on series 2 anyone?
Blackadder Goes Forth - Why the overdub?
During the second episode of this series, Corporal Punishment, the audio is very poorly overdubbed when Blackadder mentions the name of his lawyer: Bob Massingbird. Does anyone know why?
RE: Code to set Sky remote to tv?
Try this link:

You can find the codes in the interactive menu on your remote too.
RE: Joe Strummer RIP
During the Steelworkers strike in the early 80`s, Joe and the boys donated their white cadilac ( featured in one of their vids, but can`t recall which at the mo) to be raffled off to help the steelworkers families. London Calling - one of THE best tracks and infact one of THE best albums of all time. R.I.P.
RE: Speeding
I was flagged doing 40 in a 30 and got £60 and 6 points. I`d say your looking at the same for 60 in a 40. Incidently I was caught out of town - on a road that two months previous WAS a 40 area. The slags didn`t even have a `new speed limit ahead` sign displayed. Could I have got away with it do you think?

RE: SHOCK! HORROR! cheesy Star Wars tops best trilogy poll
Star Wars did get my vote too - pre `special` edition bastardisation that is of course.
