RE: Free DVD
I thought this might have be a little suspect...
Research shows the domain where the form resides is rsc03.net which owned by a company called "RESPONSYS.COM" which looks fairly genuine.
But why would they need our details twice?
(i) The messed up last time and only stored email addresses.
(ii) They didn`t mess up and there mailing list has been hacked.
Something else, all images and stylesheets point directly to fox.com -- make your own conclusions...
RE: Can anyone suggest a good site...
or kazaa the napster style replacement...

RE: SONY NS 700 MULTI-REGION
I`ve just got the 705 - and it plays Snatch R1 (according to my flatmate - I haven`t seen the beast yet) - which I believe is RCE.
It came from webeletricals.
RE: SONY NS 700 MULTI-REGION
You might want to read this thread as the new 705 is now out with MP3 playing capabilities.

RE: New Sony DVPNS 705
Just brought a 700 Multi-region today -- except it`s not Multi-region at all - tried two R1 cd`s (die hard + the simpsons season 2) and it doesn`t want to know about either of them...Thanks Mr Richer...
Looks like it is going back...and I`ll get one of these instead...

All the Pie £20.
THe complete Pie (American Pie 1 & 2) double pack is in the the Virgin Shops for £20 - at least a fiver cheaper than anywhere else - even on the net. (Maybe beceause AP 1 was on TV last weekend -- anyway...)
This offer doesn`t seem to apply to their website.
RE: Thanks

RE: ET Collectors edition £11.70

RE: Simpsons season 2 box set
Cheapest in the British Isles..(well what I`ve found)
R1 - £25.99 at http://www.futureent.com/ (In their top 10 pre-orders)
Also Monsters Inc for £12.99
RE: Back to the future trilogy! Damn Cheap!!!
With EzyDVD is there a way of cancelling your pre-order on-line, or do you have to email them.
I`ve sent them an email but received no response.
RE: Armageddon - which version..
Blackstar deal looks like a winner - signed up on smile - does the £5 voucher come through the e-mail at a later date - or is there a special link / page?
Armageddon - which version..
Play have a R2 2 disc version for £16.99 (147mins)
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=94711
And an R1 2 disc version (Criterion Collection) for 29.99 which seems expensive. (151 mins)
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R1&title=4376
And finally EZ-DVD have an R4 2 disc version at: £12 approx. (147mins)
http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/219224
The time difference is 4 minutes extra on the R1 - is that because of NTSC vs PAL or is there actually 4 minutes of extra footage? (Both R4+R1 claim to be the directors cut)

Cash flow problems at DVDPopcorn.Com ???
Just received an email from them.
"We are charged for using on-line shopping sites and so we have taken the decision to pass this saving directly back to you - our loyal customers.
Beware you will not find us on the shopping sites any more but we will be here - so if you use these sites then don't forget to look us up directly and shop away, saving lots of money."
I translate this as begin, we are losing money, and need to minimise all out going expenditure - but anyway this is only my personal point of view.
RE: Godfather, Trilogy - Discontinued?? Only at Tesco..
I used the shopsmart search engine to find all the titles I wanted from tesco..
Works a treat..
RE: Godfather, Trilogy - Discontinued?? Only at Tesco..
Good news - its back...

So the site is back up again - (except the search doesn`t work) and The Godfather Trilogy is no longer there...

You should mark the item as a gift - no need to pay for wrapping or anything - the limit for a gift is £36 (I think) so you should be alright!

RE: DVD Region X
Are you using a Scart lead...
If so..sony has disabled RGB playback in the PS2 when in DVD mode, for reasons they stated of security since they expected everyone to start copying their DVDs to tape, when the majority of us just wanted the better quality of picture output that RGB provides compared to a basic RF lead, without getting the `green screen` effect over the top that was put on deliberately...
RE: Bridget Jones Region 1

RE: Downloading VCD`s
It *maybe* possible..but you have two options..
(i) Know the right people with the right FTP sites... - the chances are if you don`t know the meaning of "WAREZ" is that you don`t know the right people..
(ii) Use the Movie equivilents of Napster and download from there.
Don`t even think about it unless you are on ADSL (or faster)...as movies are 500mb ++
FYI Warez - "Warez (pronounced as though spelled "wares" or possibly by some pronounced like the city of "Juarez") is a term used by software "pirates" to describe software that has been stripped of its copy-protection and made available on the Internet for downloading. People who create warez sites sometimes call them "warez sitez" and use "z" in other pluralizations." - www.whatis.com
