this really annoys me - why do they allocate only so many for a sale (in this case it must have been about 5 copies), and then put the price back to full. Either the item is a `sale` item or not - it shouldnt just be so many copies IMO.

Details were sent out via email (as you say , batvia , no mention yet on the website of this new sale).
The titles shown at the top of this thread are (or were in some cases) available online only. I assume , these and other titles will be available in store when the `Sale` starts next Thursday.
I ordered Con Air and Bugsy Malone yesterday , got them today. Not bad for just over a tenner.

HMV as always rip people off with those terrible SALES.
Don`t understand why people think they got a bargain, if you shop around at PLAY, CDWOW, CD101, Choices Direct and many others, you will find most cheaper than any HMV Sale.

And the stuff they do sell really cheap are usually cheap nasty stuff that don`t sell or faulty batch.

I think only Anoraks go to HMV Sales.

don`t agree with you there - i found some good deals in store sales etc. when I see something cheap as chips - it is an impulsive buy, and I would not come home and see if I can get something cheaper from somewhere else.

HMV do a good return policy and have good customer service IMO.
