Donnie Darko is one of this month`s Prism new releases, so you should be able to find it at some retailers between £4.49 and £4.99 with free delivery (probably!)

You have to be careful with that Prism release, seems to be a very basic version, absolutely no extra`s and indeterminate aspect ratio etc.

That`s why you would want to get your mits on the "full" release. I fail to understand where the value is in releasing a bare bones for a fiver or so cheaper. This is particularly true with this film, where the commentaries and other bits and pieces are great and go someway to making it all much clearer.

Why bother with the Prism version when you can get the region 1 with all the extras for $9.98CAD (about £5.20) from dvdsoon, delivered free in around 8-10 days

Really - if anything it left me more confused listening to the first commentary.
I would have liked the script on the DVD because it would have elaborated on it further. The second commentary with the rest of the cast was okay, just a little too "oh your so great". As far as explaining it went, it was also a lot better.
The deleted scenes were excellent - they really went a long way to explaining what was intended.
The only advantage of this release would be a higher bit-rate.
Soon you won`t be able to buy the DVD with the extras anywhere(R2 in stores that is) apparently, so I`d buy it quick.
