Well at long last I have finally bit the bullet and replaced the ol` Finlux 28" 4:3 TV after ten years without a glitch with a new TOSHIBA 32ZP48 !!! W.O.W ... you can keep you plasma`s anyday ... mmmmm dvd`d never looked so good ...

It`s in the title Clayts, although Fenwicks is a new one on me.................to be honest tho` 800 smackeroonies for a 32" Tosh is not that cheap nowadays............you can pay less for one of their 36" jobbies!

Fenwicks is a large Debenhams style department store in Newcastle. They might have other stores in the North-East too, I`m not sure.

It wasn;t in the title when I posted my comment (as you can see from the RE: titles on your thread and the fact the original post was edited ;))

We bought one of those about 10 years ago, a year after purchase it suffered from a line of dry joints at the rear of the set, once I resoldered those, it gave about another 7 years of service, before a intermittent fault sealed its fate.

Lovely set, especially with the built in Sat receiver.

Sorry Clayts, see what you mean now, however, I still think it`s not particularly cheap at that price, as at least one place I know of will sell you a 36" Tosh for just above the £800 mark, and will sell a 36" Hitachi for lesss than £800.

the 36" Toshiba that you can get for around the £800 mark is the ZP38 - picture frame 2 (the previous model to the ZP48..). I can vouch for the ZP38 though, as i`ve had the 32" model since last March, and its a beauty.
