so let me get this right.
i work all week to buy little silver discs that turn out to be faulty and then waste petrol and time gping to the post office to send back a disc which i bought in good faith back to the people who sold it to me and guess what they charge me £2.15 to get the buggers back.
thanks for nothing mgm you robbin sods, just remember who`s money put you were you you tight gets.
Got my discs back today- 6 WEEKS AFTER I SENT THEM !
tasker, are you planning on buying lots & lots of MGM titles from now on?
The way this has been done, its as if MGM feel that we, the dumb mugs who paid for the rotting disc were to blame. Can't say I`m in too much of a rush to go buy loads of MGM discs right now.
It took them 6 weeks to send a dvd from Wales to London- I could have walked there & back in less time
the best thing is i sent two term discs and one silence of the lambs and the sent the lambs disc seperate to the terminator discs with a sticker in welsh asking for the money on it. they stuck the lambs disc through the door and i had to go and collect the term discs which were even wrapped in the same cardboard i sent them in and they had used the return address i had written and not written a new one in the middle of the card.
and now i am expected to send the 24 discs back, same as my boss said why can`t he take it back to the retailer(tescos) i work for a store if we sell a faulty sony tv the contract is with us not with sony.
My Terminator box (the cardboard one) was in perfect condition when I sent the discs back.
When I got it back it looked like someone had sat on it!
repeatedly!!
from a great hight!!!
F**KING B*STARDS!!
Mine took about 3-weeks to get back to me. When it did, Disc 1 (the one with the movie on it) was badly scratched due to it being loose in the packaging when they returned it to me. I complained and they sent me a replacement in a blank Amaray case a few days later.
I guess I didn`t fare too badly in the end, but I really don`t think that MGM handled this very well.
I haven`t bothered to send back my discs yet but it seems that loads of people are not happy with what they are getting back and the reasons they are giving seem to suggest they are justified. I think this whole debacle should be reported to someone like "Watchdog" because it just does not seem that MGM are taking the time and care to ensure that the discs that are coming back are in a good condition and as for damaging the packaging that was in good condition when it was sent then this is unforgivable too. I will be sending back my Terminator and Silence of the Lambs discs this week and I have already decided that if I get them back in less than mint condition then I am going to complain about the really shoddy service that they are giving and threaten to report them to the Trading Standards if they don`t send me new discs that are not scratched.
my terminator box also seems to have gotten squashed in the postal system, just accepted it when it came back but it would have ben a lot easier and quicker if we could have just taken them back to where we bought them.
Has anybody had theirs returned in perfect condition?
recieved my terminator discs back this morning after about three weeks in the original package i sent them in must say though mgm customer relations leaves a lot to be desired
Beat this for an example of the left hand not knowing of the right hands` existence:
I returned my Term. discs to Freepost DVD Return as instructed. I got them back about two weeks later with the package unopened and the dodgy discs still inside. I phoned the second telephone number (which is just an answerphone) and explained the situation. About a week after that I got a phone call from MGM who claimed that it was the Post Office at fault. `Fair enough`, I thought. The guy said he would post out replacement discs and told me to bin the duff ones.
Another week goes by and a parcel is delivered by Posty. What`s inside??? Replacement discs for SOTL!! My patience is beginning to wane at this point. Another phone call to MGM, another weeks wait and finally the correct replacement dscs are replaced.
Having said that, I did end up with a free copy of SOTL....
I received my replacement discs on Saturday. When I examined them I discovered that the playing surfaces of all four were badly marked and looked as though they had undergone a cleaning process. As a result of enquiries I have made today it appears that the problem lies with Technicolor ( the company who produced the discs on behalf of M.G.M.)
All discs sent to the Freepost D.V.D. Return address are being handled by Technicolor ( who are based in Cwmbran, Gwent ) and not M.G.M. I suspect M.G.M. are totally unaware of how badly Technicolor are dealing with this matter. I have already posted a letter of complaint to M.G.M. and look forward to hearing what they have to say.
