Forgotten TV comedy

Lets have some nominations for great TV comedy series that have been largely forgotten.

So none of your Hancock, Fools and Horses etc.

My nomination goes to "Turtles Progress"

Two petty thieves nick a van which, unknown to them, has just been used in a bank job and contains a number of security boxes.
Each episode is the result of opening a new box and trying to make the most of the contents.
Very dry comedy and Damon Runyan style dialogue.
Wish it was available on DVD.

Thats the one.
Still exists on tape.
Apparently the BFI have it on masters only so nobodys allowed to view it.
I think Granada has it as well but the chances of it ever seeing the light of day again appear to be sod all.

How about the later series as well " The Worker"
Percy Herbert (later replaced by Henry McGee) as the employment officer trying to get Charlie a job he could keep.

:D Absolutely that used to be on channel 4. The Stoney Bridge town promotional video was brilliantly funny.

I think I still have the single to that hidden away somewhere. Probably warped by now. Had to throw a load out last year as they were unplayable. They only made one series of it, typically ITV, I liked it.

Ok, I admit it, I have a Phillips DVDR70 (dons hard hat and jumps in bunker ready for incoming verbal abuse!)

( I know I`m getting old, but I really must proof read what the heck I type on the keyboard before posting, and then again, and again, and again and...)

This Morning With Richard Not Judy... pure unadulterated genius. There was nothing to beat waking up on a Sunday morning to watch a screaming orange.
