Definitely an improvement over the first trailer.

It`s beginning to like like Johnny Storm is going to be cocky in a `you`ll want to slip the git` way, not the loveable scoundrel of the comics. And even from the 2 minute trailer, i still get the feeling (as much as i love Dark Angel) that Jessica Alba still can`t act for toffee.

Vic von Doom looks suitably nasty, though.

hmmmm could be a goer!

Has anyone seen Constantine yet? I`m not sure about it, I liked the comics and he was a cockney in them somehow I can`t see Keanu Reeves doing apples and pears...

I haven`t seen Constantine yet - you can imagine the production meetings:


"so this guy Constantine is blonde haired and British - who shall we get to play him?"

"...Keanu Reeves?"

"Genius!!"


From the reviews I`ve read, that seems to be the main problem - most say it`s a decent film, but Keanu is about as animated as a block of wood and badly miscast... :/

Constantine was actually a hubcap stealing scouser in the comics.

Tbh, theres virtually nothing left of the character in the film except the smoking and cancer bit, but even that's been changed slightly. And a lot of the quality supporting characters have been amalgamated into one or two fairly crappy ones.

Its funny actually. Theres so little of the original left it would probably have been easier and cheaper for them to call him Joe Kickass and f***ed off buying the rights to the comic entirely. Which (being a huge vertigo fan) is probably why im not too up in arms about all the changes. There are so many, for me, its Constantine in name only.

Its ok. Not great. Its about on a par with (if not slightly better than) Spawn as far as Hell based comic adapts go. Which isn't really saying much….

As far as the FF are concerned, I think the concept is a little too anachronistic to work well today. Although the new trailer makes it look a lot better than the last one.

I think the only comic adaptation worth watching this year will be Sin City. That just looks amazing. (Pick your flavour of trailer)

why am I not suprised the only think left is the name! I never saw Punisher (either film adaptation) I liked the comics too much but I heard bad bad things.

Speaking of bad films made from comics, did anyone see batman over the weekend with Michael Keaton! Now what has happened to him?

Yeah, I know.. that number one hit movie he had two months ago... pff, what a loser.

Fantastic Four? Hmmmm.. I dunno, I`m all for it, but I have a feeling they`re going to break my heart.

Right. I`ve watched it twice now.
Definitely like the look of it.
I`m afraid I`m not up to speed with all the modern comic heros so I can`t join in the analysis of all the other offerings.
Just an old DC comic fan who used to spend his school dinner hour walking about two miles to the only shop that used to stock them and try not to get caught reading them in the afternoon.
