Super Furry Animals pip Orbital to the post - first simultaneous LP/DVD release

"WELSH ANIMALS
The Super Furry Animals make pop history on July 23rd with the first-ever simultaneous DVD and CD release. The long-awaited new album, Rings Around The World, features the talents of guest musicians including Paul McCartney and John Cale while the DVD includes 12 exclusive films from established artists, all commissioned by the Furrys, to accompany each track. The DVD will also carry remixes of each track, as well as exclusive bonus tunes. Nice."

And to think Orbital could have held that accolade... :-(

Will probably buy this, though - SFA rock !

There is a big difference. The Super Furry Animals DVD has a promo for every track but has plain menu`s .. just point and click. Orbital The Altogether has a fully interactive menu with many tracks that have several angles. There are also hidden tracks that you have to work around the menu`s to find. The menu`s were designed and created in flame by The Mill (the London based post house that won an Oscar this year for the visual effects in Gladiator) www.mill.co.uk

There is a big difference. SFA are a great band at the top of their game, v. possibly the best contemporary band in the UK. Orbital on the other hand are well past their sell by date (circa 1994?) and this is from a one time fan of the brothers Hartnoll. Chime being one of the best UK dance choons ever.
