Realistic Gun Fights

As there seems to be alot of chat about realism in fist fights, i was wondering what people thought were decent "realistic" gun fights!?

So i think thats every Woo & Bay film out the window then.

Its not a fight, more of a quick slaughter, but i absolutely love the quick draw bit in Collateral. And there is no way people cant call that realistic, thats official quick draw, BANG you dead.

Also Heat, the LA street rifle fight is amazing & pure defining on 5.1. It must be Micheal Mann, he is the only director who seems to know how loud & effective guns should be.

You say pyscho like its a bad thing

Two decent choices there. Love the street gun fight in Heat, and Collateral is just fantastic. Cruise`s character is so clinical with his gun shots. Oh and agree about the sound on the guns on Heat. I was watching it late at night at a relatively low level, and then the guns came on.... :o :o :o

What is the difference between a realistic gun fight and one that is just, "like, so fake"?

And how exactly would you know, matey? I get the impression you`d shoot your dick off if someone handed you a gun. Actually, I get the impression you`d shoot your dick off if someone handed you pretzel.

And don`t start with the dyslexic insults. I`m joking. ;)

Yay and God said to Abraham, "you will kill your son, Issak", and Abraham said, I can`t hear you, you`ll have to speak into the microphone." "Oh I`m sorry, Is this better? Check, check, check... Jerry, pull the high end out, I`m still getting some hiss back here."

All I know about real guns is when people are shot they *don`t* fly backwards like they do in films. So that would be a pre-requisite for a realistic gun fight.

/learned it off "Mythbusters". :)

Oh yeah, and the victim usually p***es or s***s themselves. Or both.

I bet John Woo never put that in slow motion surrounded by doves.

I learned that off me Mum. How she knows... I`ve never asked.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

I can`t stand these idiots in movies who fire a gun like they`re cracking a whip. You know, they sort of flick the gun at people and it goes off at the end of the flick.

You couldn`t hit the side of a barn like that and the recoil would probably break your wrist.
