11 Disc boxset out 6th November Approx £50 includes :-

4 Disc - Superman movie (extended and original cuts)
3 Disc - Superman 2 (extended and original cuts)
2 Disc - Superman 3
2 Disc - Superman 4
(all available seperately too)

Also 13 disc edition in a tin and will include superman returns approx £60 available 4th December

Which will you buy?

4 Disc Superman the Movie?? 4 discs???

Am I to take it then, that the 3 disc Superman 2 includes the Donner cut of the movie? If so, I`m in, and I reckon I`ll get the big sucker at £60.

We`ll see....

First 14, then 8 and now 11??? Is there any need for four disc Superman movie?

Well, much like the recent "Ultimate Bond" set (and the fact that I have so little will power to resist these things!), I`ll be getting this pretty much whatever. I actually think the price is quite reasonable too - I was expecting it to be dearer.

I`m sure I read that "Superman 2 - The Donner Cut" would only be available in the big/multi-disc set... (I`ll check and see if I can find out more). Can`t wait to see the packaging for this baby... :)

Ditto that here too. £60 doesn`t sound quite so bad, and I think I may partake of this.

Incidentally, this is the first place I heard this news. Is there a link to an official announcement anywhere? Original poster?

According to the Superman Homepage, it will be a 13 disc set - and the Donner Cut will be available seperately (as will the others...) - although Warner Home Video haven`t officially announced anything yet....

play.com have the individual sets up, as well as the Christopher Reeve 9 disc set, but no news on the super-mega-allsingingalldancing-epicfest that is the 11, 12, 13 or 14 disc version

....so no Donner Cut or "Superman Returns" in the big/mega set...? Now I`m confused, lol... :/

Methinks I`ll just be buying the new Superman 2 Donner cut to replace the bare bones edition in my Region 1 box set. And I know I`ll also get Superman Returns when it comes out only to then (sigh) fork out again when the extended cut comes out a few months later. Such is life.
