Great film, definitely a Clayts fave rave.

I`ve had my R4 copy ages now, and love it to bits. Oliver Stone - he the man, in my book !

First I`ve heard of it. Are you sure it`s the uncut Director`s cut (as opposed to the cut R-rated version, with cheesy ending, that`s currently available on VHS)?

I thought the film was pretty damn awful. Nothing compared to the book. Then again, the only version I`ve seen was the one broadcast on channel 5 a couple of years back. Is the uncut version that different?

Apart from the regular disc, there is also going to be a boxset released as well.

Play are selling it for just £17.99 i cant remember exactly whats available but i think it has lobby cards the screenplay and a poster.

I got my director`s cut version with commentary etc months ago from dvdoo.dk for £8 or something mad. Only downer is the Danish box.

I thought it was out ages ago - am I being crazy?

I`ve heard a bit of conflicting stories about it - I`ve heard from somewhere that the UK DVD is cut as it doesn`t feature the rape scene (where Mickey decides that he will have sex with the hostage after all). This can`t have been cut by the BBFC (as the BBFC states that no cuts have been made) it must have been cut by the distributors. If it has at all that is. Anyway it`s more like a shot, not a scene, and lasts less than 10 seconds and so is fairly incidental. Does anyone know if the shot is in there or not?


Oh - and the box set contains 6 art cards, an A2 reproduction of original cinema poster and the original Screenplay by Quentin Tarantino with an exclusive cover. At least according to here ==> http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=95815

Since the Director`s Cut has been shown on FilmFour twice, I believe, when will the DVD be released?
