UPDATED THREAD.

The Sci Fi channel are showing a string of excellent movies at 3pm or 4pm on the +1 channel.

3pm/4pm Buffy the Vampire Slayer - See how the Buffy universe originally was before her complete TV makeover.

4.30pm/ 5.30pm: The Fifth Element - What Blade Runner would of looked like during the daytime.

7pm/8pm: Tron - Classic 80s sci fi before the days of CGI.

9pm/10pm Superman III - The decline of an excellent franchise, which had some really good ideas, especially the good versus evil Superman.

12.20/1.20 Night of the Comet: A cult comedy classic from the 80s, about 2 teenage girls who wake up to find every human being on the planet has been killed by a passing comet, so they have to fight against a bunch of cannibal zombies.
The original title for this film was Teenage Mutant Horror Comet Zombies, it`s a shame they changed the movie title.

On Thursday, there is another classic cult movie you should watch called, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, which is on at 7pm/8pm

Also My Stepmother is an Alien is on at 10pm/11pm straight after a sci fi TV series which is apparently a huge hit in the US called A Town Called Eureka.

Then on Friday, the excellent 80s comedy Weird Science is on at 10.50pm/11.50, but if you wait till Saturday from 5pm, you could have a Sci Fi triple bill, and watch Buckaroo Banzai, Spaceballs and Weird Science.

Dear god NO.

Even while watching it p***ed I couldn`t understand it, let alone wanting to watch it again.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Apple Computer reported today that it has developed computer chips that can be implanted and play music inside women`s breasts.

The music is in stereo, of course. This is considered to be a major breakthrough because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts, and not listening to them.

Already had a complete run on Sky one. Only 11 episodes so far, and I haven`t heard anything about a second season. Anyone?

On Friday at 00:20, there is a movie called The Tesseract written by Alex Garland, and directed by Oxide Pang Chun one half of the Pang brothers who have directed The Eye and it`s sequels.

Looks interesting, and the film has had some positive reviews.

I read the book a few years ago - it was Garlands next book after the smash that was The Beach.

Very unimpressed by the book TBH. Caught a glimpse of the film when it was on during the week, and it looked like a dodgy made for tv movie

I didn`t get to watch it as the Sky+ said it failed to record - the bastards.

Tonight on ITV4, Arnie Versus Satan in End of Days at 22:00.

Over on ITV2, Out of Sight George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez written by Elmore Leonard, and starring Micheal Keaton, who reprises his role, his character that was made famous in Quentin Tarantino`s Jackie Brown.

On at 21:00 on Film4, is the brillient L.A. Confidential, then straight after at 11:45, Narc starring Ray Liotta, this is an excellent movie.

At 01:15 on TCM is, The Fearless Vampire Killers, which is a very subtle Hammer Horror spoof starring his late wife Sharon Tate.

On Friday.

23:40 on BBC2, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - I`ve not seen this but this is supposed to be good.

22:10 over on ITV3, The Right Stuff, true story about the American space race.

23:05, Film4, is City of God - A huge must see movie.

On Movies4Men at 22:15, is the Roger Cormen classic Death Race 2000, starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone.

Saturday at 16:40, Film4, Douge Mcclure stars in The People that Time Forgot, the sequel to the cult classic Land that Time Forgot.

21:00, Film4 The Usual Suspects, the most talked about movie, when it first came out.

21:25 on Channel 4, is the classic The Shawshank Redemption, followed by 15 Minutes which is on at 00:05 which stars Robert De Nero.

22:40 on ITV, The Witches of Eastwick, Jack Nicholson as the Devil, in this funny if slightly dated 80s comedy,

21:55 on ITV2, Ron Howard`s Oscar winning true story Apollo 13, and over at ITV4 at 23:00, is Alan Parker`s excellent supernatural thriller Angel Heart Starring Mickey Rourke who is hired by Robert De Nero to find a big band singer.

21:00, Film4, Ken Russell (who was in this years Celeb Big Bro) directs The Who`s rock opera Tommy.

On the same channel at 23:00, The original cult classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Sunday.

15:50, on the Sci Fi channel, is the greatest conspiracy movie, Capricorn One, which tells about a faked Mars landing, starring Elliot Gould (Ocean`s 11), Telly Savalis (Kojack), and OJ Simpson (the guy who didn`t kill his wife, but if he did this is how he would do it).

Film4, 21:00 The very first Pink Panther movie which was written by none other than William Peter Blatty, who is better known for penning the horror classic The Exorcist. Shot in the Dark was the best Pink Panther movie out of them all,

Followed by at 22:00, Michael Mann`s excellent thriller Collateral.

Or if you want a good laugh over on ITV2 22:00 is Shaun of the Dead or over on ITV3 is Schindler`s List, (which by the way is not a good laugh).

23:15 is Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back, the supposed closing chapter to the New Jersey series.

Over on Channel 4, midnight, is Adam Sandler`s Billy Madison.

ITV4 at 01:50 is the cult blood-fest spaghetti western classic Django.
