Page 1 of Shaolin Soccer problems

My copy of Shaolin Soccer stalls and skips at the scene were Sing and Mui are talking under a tree (beginning of Chapter 23).This happens with the orignal and directors cut versions.
I have a Scan 2000 player and the only other disc that has done this is A Touch of Evil region1 (out of over 80 discs I own of various regions).

If you search around you`ll find that a lot of people have experienced problems towards the end of the movie. It seems to be a manufacturing problem on certain DVD`s although it doesn`t seem to affect everyone. Just try the DVD on a different player or two and if it does the same thing then get it exchanged for a different copy.

Tried on my computers dvd drive and it played okay.
So looks like its the Scan. At least I haven`t had the trouble some people have had this player.

My Wharfdale 750 couldn`t play Touch of evil (R1) - freezing and blockiness 2/3rds thru
had to sell it and buy vhs version - very annoying!

I noticed that too but I just assumed it was a dodgy layer change.

I have not experienced any problems with Shaolin Soccer, it plays fine on my player (Schneider 855).

When I played the film from the beginning (instead of flicking through scenes) there were no problems.
