Page 1 of Rally Games - Which one is best???

I`ve got a PS2 and Gamecube and want to get a Rally game.... which is best???

The Colin McRae games are always good, and they are shortly to relase CMR4 for both PS2 and Xbox (typically I have a GC!)

I`ve always liked McRae too and don`t bother with anything else. There are quite a few out there, but in my book McRae plays and feels good. :-)

GT3 on the PS2 has some superb rallying - although it helps to have the force feed back wheel to really appreciate them.

world rally championship is good (the first one), loads of long tracks good handling and can be picked up for under 20 quid.

world rally championship 2 extreme looks alot better - longer and a solid game - BUT - the handling is not to everyones taste. you can only really use the digital pad (not analogue thumbs sticks), but dynamics of the cars feel great if you do get it right when cornering etc. I would not pay 30 - 40 quid for it though. what untill 22 of August when it goes platinum and then pick it up cheap new or second hand.

colin 3 felt light weight and abit rushed (its okay on xbox), but still good if not great (not as good as colin 2 imo). wait for colin 4.

imo go for wrc 2 extreme - and if you got a steering wheel - its a bonus.

oh, wrc 2 is on ps2. and official licensed by wrc.

the best at the minute for realism is Colin Mc Rae 3 (Xbox version seems to handle better) and an arcade type rally game like Sega Rally has to be RalliSport Challenge on the Xbox or PC

I own a PC, Xbox, PS2 AND GC so I think its fair to say I have no favouritism between consoles

Isn`t Colin McRae 4 coming out for the GameCube as well?

no, colin 4 will defo not come out for GC coz codies they are not making ANY games at all for it.

I think its something to do with excessive nintendo licensing fees and the current status of the GC in europe...........................but I may be wrong.

wrc 3 is looking very tasty.

i will get colin 4 for xbox anyways

Best rally game of all time is still RallyMasters, it has the best feel and funkiest crashes. Not to mention how ace it is multiplayer. A group of us still play it online, absolute classic.
